“Puzzling Road”

Puzzle Mansion Bed & Breakfast

It is worth visiting! Don't be mislead by my title but the road is really puzzling because you would always wonder where the next turn would be, although there are lots of sign as you drive through the pineapple plantations.
It was a real treat when the owner and puzzle maker herself gave us a tour of her mansion and shared her stories for every puzzle that she made. This is truly one of a kind that would leave every visitor in awe as they see the vast collection and the stories behind it. The road going to the mansion is steep. For those who are not confident if they can manage the 25 degree, or even higher, climb drive back you can leave your cars at the main road and a shuttle jeep is ready to bring you to and from the mansion.
Souvenir items are available at the upper level of the mansion. The toilet at the gift shop is impressive. Spotlessly clean, fresh smelling, and aesthetically designed.
The huge marker with the logo of the Guiness World Record make a good photo background. At 100 pesos, this is really worth it.

This very beautiful puzzle mansion is proof that if one follows his passion, everything is possible. What started out as an expression of a mother's love to her son went on to become a life work that made it to the Guinness Book of World Record. Upon entering the house, you can't help but be in awe of what a man can do when he puts his heart into what he does! The woman who made the puzzles is a humble woman who excitedly tells all the visitors the story of her puzzles that you cannot help but feel her passion, as well.

The sign on the main road is misleading. It's several kilometers from the main road and is in the middle of nowhere but worth the drive. The owner, Georgina Gil-Lacuna, won last year's Guinness World Record for the largest collection of jigsaw puzzles. The are more than a thousand puzzles from several hundreds to more than a thousand pieces that Ms. Lacuna herself worked on for more than 20 years. Ms. Lacuna is around to give a guided tour of her collection of puzzles, giving informative inputs on the places and histories of the different pieces. One can view her working on her current project which she claims is the biggest puzzle in the world in terms of number of pieces.

There are food stalls where one can buy mostly Filipino fare and newly harvested fruits and vegetables.
