everthing you can expect from a very cheap lodging-small tv,decent bed, personal fridge&shower.space is very small so really there's not much room to wlak to&fro.since you're in tagaytay, best to spend most of the day outside rather than staying in.

Room Tip: try to get the rooms outside of the main house becauase it's really noisy if a family is renting...

We stayed at their Deluxe Room. It is quite big as it has king size bed plus a single bed. The rate is very reasonable. Room is nice and clean. Has a view of Taal from the garden. Very accessible to restaurants and near to Picnic Grove. We will definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: Deluxe Room is better than the Standard with a slight difference in price. No pool

Just at the Ridge of the Tagaytay Road is this little Villa that has a good view of Taal Lake. It has a Family Flat that can accommodate about 10 Persons, with its own Kitchen facility, Living Room, Dining Room, and Private Balcony that looks upon the Taal Lake. It has a garden where you can have BBQ, and all daily rates come with Free Plated Breakfast of your choice.
Its location is very good as it is close to all other attractions that Tagaytay has to offer.
The Villa also has smaller rooms for 2 to 4 persons, that is good for persons who wish to have Affordable Luxury in mind. It is away from all the noise and Traffic of Tagaytay, and is perfect to do reflection, and reunions for the family. If simplicity is what your looking for, than this place is for you.

Room Tip: Not all rooms have a view of the Lake, but the Family and VIP Room has the best views. Really relaxi...

The so-called villa is actually a house converted to accommodate probably 8-10 rooms (including the garage area). The problem with our stay was our expectations for the usual hotel amenities. The room we stayed in was small, not that well kept, had an old quirky tv, and worst of all, had a bathroom that one would normally expect to see in far-flung barangays. Toilet and shower are cramped in the same , small space. Plus the showerhead kept on falling down from its flimsy receptacle. The big windows in our ground-floor room were a concern as we had to ensure the curtains were properly drawn to avoid tempting peeping toms. I had decided to go home within 5 minutes from our arrival, but i was dissuaded by my 'thinking' bf.

Finally, since we paid a discounted rate via a group buying site, we should have investigated further. Had we known what to expect, we would have been LESS disappointed. There are budget hotels that are well kept and properly managed. This one is far from it.
Fortunately, Tagaytay is not only about the hotels.

We stayed here last 25 n 26 of Dec. , for our yearly get together of my husband family side.
We arrived there early , around 11:00 am , too early for our check-in time. And also avoiding the traffic, of course its Christmas in Tagaytay, expect heavy traffic.
The takers were still cleaning the house then, due it was also occupied during the Christmas eve.
So we waited for them and had our lunch at their lawn first.
Finally after long hours of waiting, we are adviced that its already okey to go in.
We stayed at the upper and big room of their villa. Impair ness house is neat and clean. (Maybe it was just cleaned). But ,.....

Little Gym - it was only for their display, you are not allowed to use. Imagine , my 2 boys and their dad were using it, but guess what, the taker went up and told us, " it is not allowed to use"....so, why they put it there di ba?..

Kitchen utensils , no where to be found not even a single spoon n fork. No , stove or burner .
The only available is microwave oven and a refrigerator. So , better eat outside. As our plan we will cook there , but fortunately you have to ask permission and have to go up and down of the house cause , you have to cook on the takers quarters...grabe!

Room - it was neat ( good thing)

Bathroom - super disappointed, water heater is malfunctioning. You have to let it rest first every after use .

Water supply - super super disappointed....( mas malakas pa ang pee ng 3 months old baby). It takes around 1 minute to full a glass of water...can u imagine that,,,,! My husband have to fetch water downstair to plush a toilet.

House rule - big disappointed....
No.1 rule - not allowed to wear slippers in the house.. So you have to stay bare footed for your stay.
No.2 rule- no noise or any loud causing at 11 pm. Can you imagine its a reunion or gathering and you are not allowed to stay and have fun at 11pm. No TV , radio , music etc ......hellooooo!!!
No.3 - avoid noises......what a rule!!

Dining area - fine but again no kitchen ware. Good thing we bring our own.

Parking space - good for 3 cars only.

We will definitely not to stay on this place again even if they will offer us 50% off, nor 75% off.
This place is a super "no", "no".

They always offer 50% off on some voucher selling site, but think again...

Worst ever!

We treated my parents to an overnight out-of-town trip to Tagaytay last December in time for my father's birthday. We got our voucher from CashCashPinoy, for a deluxe room for less than a thousand pesos. We bought two vouchers so we can stay in separate bedrooms.

I called to reserve as early as August, got the confirmation immediately and all we had to do was wait till December. Given there were relatively few reviews about the place we lowered our expectations.

First, we had trouble getting there. From the Silang Highway, you have to take the small street to the right of the budget hotel and to the left of the building where they sell Colettes pies and pastries. There is no street sign that says Hollywood Subdivision or a signboard that directs you to Fernandina Tagaytay Villas.

Trying to pass itself off as a villa though it technically is more of a lodge or at most a bed and breakfast place, it is sorely lacking in amenities and even the 'modern-cabin feel' they advertise in CashCashPinoy and the 'spacious comforts' they brandish in their website.

Imagine yourself visiting a vacation house and being ushered into the maids and/or drivers quarters. That is exactly what we got at Fernandina Tagaytay. The house is not much to look at as it is from the outside. But, I draw the line with the 'room' we were designated in which is supposed to be the Standard Suite.

The bathroom is utterly drabby and hopelessly crappy. You open the squeaky door to a sloppily furnished bathroom that has a hot and cold shower as its only saving grace. It does not even have the decency of a shower curtain to avoid water splashes when taking a shower. The 'hygiene kit' that is supposed to be included in what you paid for is a measly one roll toilet paper, one piece soap and a small shampoo bottle. Needless to say, the putrid stench of the room emanates even stronger from the bathroom. Twice we had to ask the caretaker/person-in-charge to spray it to lessen the foul odor. It is actually for these reasons that we simply skipped taking a bath here and checked out as soon as we woke up the following day.

My parents were initially assigned to Room No 1 and we were at room No 2. When you enter the cramped three-car garage, you will see the rooms right in front of you. There is no denying that this was, at one time or another, the maids and/or the drivers quarters. The pictures of these rooms speak for themselves. Perhaps they thought that by adding a window-type air-conditioner a hot and cold shower in the bathroom, they can pass it off as a 'suite'. As expected, soundproofing was horrible. When we were ready to turn in for the night, the TV from other room was penetrating the walls that we can audibly hear the dialogue from the movie that the other guest was watching.

I got into an argument with the caretaker about the shabby state of the room. I was told that apparently, a lot of other guests have already complained about it. I was not surprised at all. If you see it for yourselves, you'll see (and smell) why. I asked them to show me around the place so I can see if we have better options. And true enough, there were.

Anyway, when it seemed that we were the only guests in the property, I asked if we could just move at least my parents to the 'better room' meaning the one inside the actual house. They said that the rooms were already reserved for someone else and I told them the logic about paying for the same amount and yet getting the bad end of the deal. I understand that rooms may not necessarily be the same but there was a glaring difference between Room No 1 and Room No 5 located inside the house. After some time, they finally obliged. FYI, rooms 1-4 are detached rooms from the main house. It turned out, there was only one other guest besides us.

On to the 'facilities'. Brace yourselves for a couple of minis. One, they claim to have a mini-gym. If one benchpress can pass for a gym, then I guess there is one. Then there's the mini-garden and it is really as mini as you can get. There are some chairs and a table that you can set-up. There is supposed to be a hot and cold water dispenser but apparently they were not able to have water delivered for the day so we had to buy water outside. Parking is for three-small cars at the most. All other cars will have to park outside along the main road of the residential subdivision. We were told it is safe. But park at your own risk.

I think that they should be very clear about what they advertise in their website and even on group buying sites they tie-up with. They should be clear that the 'mini-gym' and the kitchen facilities are for the exclusive use of guests booked in the Family Suite with Attic. This suite has a refrigerator, microwave oven, kitchen, sink, dining table and living room. The room however, is not senior-citizen-friendly because the stairs are too steep.

When you want more than just the ordinary hotel experience, Fernandina Tagaytay Villa can make it special. This is a direct quote from their website. My personal opinion is that I would rather take the ordinary hotel experience any day over how 'special' I felt at Fernandina Tagaytay. You should spare yourselves the heartache and simply book elsewhere for that genuinely SPECIAL treatment. Whether paying full price or at a discount, this place is not worth your penny at all.

We stayed here for two nights during the third week of November 2012, to attend a friend's wedding in Tagaytay. The location is actually very near the Sta. Rosa turnoff into Tagaytay. After making a right, you immediately turn left into the street going down. I believe the house is the 3rd street to your right. By the way the street is very steep and unfortunately we had to park on the road as the garage was full.
Anyway upon entering the garage, our room was right in front of the cars parked. Then the main house is to the right. We were not able to enter the main house at all. Our room reminded me of a driver's quarter and probably it was used for that before, ha ha.
The deal we got was quite good though, we paid the deposit online and they had a promo of PHP 2500 for one night and then get the next night for PHP 1! As in one peso. This promo only ran from Monday to Thursday and that worked for us since we needed to be at the wedding the whole day anyway.

The room is a tiny one with a queen sized bed, no WIFI, and a bathroom with no divider between the shower area and the toilet area/sink. Clean enough but could be cleaner. It was obvious that the room was not used or given a brush-over before we checked in. There is also a mini-ref and a small old-school tv.

Breakfast: Our deal included breakfast and the next morning we asked the caretaker for this. Unfortunately they did not know that this was included in the price we paid, so they had to go out of the house to buy some hotdog and eggs and then cook it for us. It was the regular red hotdog with a fried egg and garlic rice, no other choice. We ate it anyway as we had no time to go out for a more decent meal.

I can't tell you about the main house as we never went in. There is a small garden/patio area and I sat there one of the mornings, it was very peaceful with a nice breeze. Also nice to see the locals walking past.

Room Tip: Perhaps get one in the main house? Ask if the bathrooms are divided between shower and toilet areas.
