“GREAT PLACE TO RELAX & STAY”
Reviewed September 3, 2012

Villa Ibarra is a home away from home if your in Tagaytay. The staff are friendly and helpfull to their guest. Me and my girlfriend stayed in these hotel for two days and we feel relax with a perfect view of taal lake. The breakfast was great and it will be served to you fresh from the kitchen. The room was clean and all the toiletries are according to the guest requirements. The supply of hot and cold water are abundant in the toilet and shower. The only thing that i can comment that need improvement is the noise of the upper floor that should be minimized but the rest of our stay is great and relaxing. Therefore if you want a relaxing place with a good ambiance and a home away from your own home in Tagaytay stay in Villa Ibarra.

Attended a wedding here and the venue was nice! It was overviewing the taal lake and volcano. The food was not so good thus the 3-star rating I gave. As for the price, I tried to inquire for their room rates but was quite disappointed of their pricey rooms (net price about 5K for their cheapest suite on a weekend). Parking is a bit of a hassle too since the lot area is small. Overall, I enjoyed the wedding ceremony here but I won't stay here overnight unless there's a promo :)

Our group were so tired of Manila traffic after our business trip there, so we decided to spend our short weekend getaway in Tagaytay. It turned out that Villa Ibarra is a perfect choice for our needs - cozy, quiet, and peaceful. The twin rooms are quite spacious and very comfortable even when we put 3 in a room. We really enjoyed the magnificent view of Taal from our balcony and enjoyed sitting in the garden with our favorite books or having a chat over coffee. It's quite a distance from Villa Ibarra to other places in Tagaytay such as the town center, Picnic Grove, Sonia's Garden etc., but we love it still!

Wifi is not so good there, but since you were in this relaxing place why would you bother about Internet? :-)

Room Tip: It's not necessary to book the more expensive room with the lake view since you can have your vi...

We stay here last new years eve.
The floor is made of wooden planks, you can hear the noise from other room if children is playing.
The room is so big with 2 queen size bed, but the mattress is so hard.
The room smells newly varnished.
With a lot of choices to stay in tagaytay, i will never stay here again.

My husband and I were attending a wedding that weekend in the nearby Chapel on the Hill. We decided to stay overnight and chose Villa Ibarra because we want to try it considering it's new. Truly, we had a great stay because the room is really spacious and the beds are comfortable. It is more like an extension of our bedroom with the Victorian decor and classy bathroom. The staff were so nice and hospitable. The view of the famous Taal Lake from the big picture window in the lobby is awesome.

Room Tip: request for higher floors so you won't get to hear footsteps and noises on the floor above your...

Villa Ibarra lives up to its name. It really has the look of a villa or a country estate of a noble family. During the tour, it was explained to us that it was indeed a country home before it was renovated into a hotel. The lobby boasts of a baby grand piano and a floor-to-ceiling glass wall with an awesome view of Taal Volcano and the lake. The graceful stairway that runs from the attic to the basement, the wooden doors, the well-appointed chandeliers and the rest of the decors, give the hotel an elegant country look. The formal dining area next to the lobby appears cool and cozy because of its blue and white motif. The basement has a large banquet hall with sliding doors that open to a vast party ground with a full view of Taal. The guest rooms have attractive and tastefully chosen bedcovers and draperies with a view of either the garden or the lake. Their bathrooms look quaint because of the presence of old-fashioned rather than regular bathtubs. Not sure, though, if they are more decorative rather than functional since we did not have the opportunity to use them. Villa Ibarra appears to be an ideal venue for an out-of-town wedding celebration. As added feature, it has a special honeymoon suite fronting the lake. Built like an enclosed gazebo, it is located a few steps below the view-deck, close to the ridge...a romantic place for any newly-wed!

We stayed for two nights in Villa Ibarra and held our wedding reception there too!

The hotel rooms are perfect for couples or families since they have the feeling of being cozy but at the same time spacious! Only one room is small but can still accommodate two people. The breakfast they serve together with their accommodations are plenty - with choices of either American or Filipino breakfast.

If you prefer your stay to be nice and quiet, request to stay at the room farthest from their banquet area since they also hold events (usually weddings) in the same location. Or better yet, book your stay during weekdays when there's less likely to be events taking place. But if you do not mind the noise, I say the hotel is still a perfect place to stay in!

The staff and management are really accommodating too and make one's stay even more pleasurable.

Their management of our wedding reception - from the setup, to the food was also all perfect! Our guests only had praises to say for our wedding. It made us really happy. :)

We will gladly come back to this hotel and recommend their venue for a wedding reception to any one with guests up to 200 or less. :)

Room Tip: The attic room is perfect for friends of four. Their honeymoon suite is perfect for couples. :) Room...
