Price is just ok. Food taste, so so. Just found short curly hair in the Kare-kare and all they did was to remove the hair and didn't replace it with a new one. no apologies from the manager. they simply took it out like it was nothing. The thing I liked about the place was the view and the weather - given that you're in Tagaytay. Overall, It's just another Filipino restaurant.

As with all food, everything tastes better when grilled, and we sure love grilled everything in the Philippines. The usual Gerry's,Dencio's, etc...until we came across this one. This being the grill department of the famous Antonio, for sure it must be good.It is.It didn't disappoint. They serve home cooked fare with their own twist too (I love the paksiw na bangus paired with ginataang munggo with langka (young jackfruit as veggie cooked with mung beans in coconut milk).Hubby loved his grilled salmon and believe me, we've had all versions of this from all countries.Good as place as any for a die-hard Filipino food fan.

If you can't make up your mind among the plethora of dining choices in Tagaytay and don't want to eat at the chain restaurants, just go to Antonio's Grill. Conveniently located near the Tagaytay circle, it's in a compound, along with other restaurants, overlooking Taal Volcano. It's the one closest to the main highway so you can't miss it. This is NOT the very expensive (but multi-awarded) Antonio's that serves gourmet food, although it's part of the same restaurant group. It's Chef Tony Boy (the Antonio) Escalante's foray to Filipino family-style cuisine.

We've been here multiple times and oftentimes, we tend order the same thing - the very fresh and crunchy Water Spinach Salad, a non-oily Bulalo Soup, the very addicting Fried Tawilis and a few varying dishes here and there like the ubiquitous sisig or a fried catfish. We also had a surprisingly good Chicken Inasal, given it's hundreds of kilometers away from Bacolod. And then we find out that the chef/owner actually hails from Bacolod, which explains it.

Prices are relatively affordable, given the quality and location of the area. Choose this over the chain grills you can find anywhere else in the Philippines. You won't regret it.

We had a business lunch at Antonio's Grill with our project team of 10 people. Part of the team came from Makati and the rest from Batangas and we met halfway in Tagaytay. We ordered one of the sets good for 10 people. The servings were large and while the food was good, there still was a lot of food leftover. We had a couple of vegetarians and there was no issue getting several dishes for them, including a vegetarian version of sinigang. Service was fast and food came promptly after ordering. The view was great as it was a nice and sunny day. Certainly worth the trip and would have no qualms about coming back.

Worth the price, simple and delicious Filipino fare. This is after all, the "family" and not "gourmet" side of Antonio's so don't expect fine dining ambience. It's all about comfort food with your family and friends. Prefer this over Dencio's or Gerry's Grill anytime.
