“Hands down - the best we have to offer!”
Reviewed February 2, 2014

I'll keep this short and sweet - this is by far the best restaurant in the Philippines. There are no ifs, ands or buts about it. Be prepared to pay for the quality, but it will not disappoint. Take your time, enjoy Tagaytay, enjoy the ambiance at Antonio's. You will not find a better meal in this country.

“A dining experience worth going back to”
Reviewed January 24, 2014

This was the 2nd time we had dined at this restaurant, and yes we are celebrating another occasion . It was quite far going to this place, but it is much worth the effort. For peak periods and weekends, i would advise making a call to reserve your slot , and then they would remind you of the "smart casual " attire . I noticed however a very few of the guests not following the simple house rule (maybe they are walk in guests). The place offers a subdued elegance and a beautiful ambiance , the staff are in their nice dark colored uniforms , and always seem enthusiastic with what they are doing. The male staff in particular seem to make a good pitch for the ongoing development in their property, and that's a good thing. We had for our meals the upgraded salad , seafood trio and the rib eye steak which is good for 2 person. Our desserts include the flourless chocolate cake, their own version of the panna cota and the dark chocolate souffle. All that we ordered tastes really good (it was heavenly ). We cap the night off with their brewed coffee and tea. The experience makes us think of again dining in this highly rated fine dining restaurant . Have a good meal, spend 2-3 hours with special ones,, appreciate the garden and anything the ambiance and decors offer, enjoy the good service. By the way, we later found out that the head chef Mr Antonio Escalante was not present during that time (he was in Bacolod ), it was actually the 2nd time he was not the one providing the well cooked dishes. It would be safe to say that he has taught his cooking staff well , he has left it in good hands.

“What a place!!!! Beautiful”
Reviewed January 9, 2014

My wife and I return and return to Antonio's. It is more than a fine dining restaurant, it is a destination where we unwind, take our time hoping time goes by as slowly as possible. Yes a little pricey but well worth it. Our recent trip had us sharing oysters (extremely fresh, served with himalayan salt, lemon etc..) and a foie gras terrine which was absolutely delicious. The salad with the raspberry vinaigrette is freshly picked daily from the restaurant gardens and the soup was very good (just a little salty for our taste). My rack of lamb was perfectly cooked and the cardamom beurre blanc excellent while my wife enjoyed a panfried fillet of sole. She had a chocolate souffle with cardamom creme anglaise while I had a passion fruit pavlova (extraordinary). Overall, we have never been disappointed at Antonio's and if some restaurant do this or that dish a little better, the overall dining experience is, for us, one of the best there is.

“Pricey great food”
Reviewed January 8, 2014

A really long drive and Only by reservation. Place has a beautiful ambiance specially for those romantic dates or proposals. Food is very well prepared and waiters/waitress will pamper you. Try the trio or samplers, so as to be able to get a taste of everything.

“Superbly prepared food but pricey”
Reviewed January 8, 2014

Our 2 families came here right after new year to celebrate our daughter's birthday.

Food is good but with mains starting at P1500,it's quite pricey. Beautiful garden surroundings and the French maid uniforms are a nice touch. Good service. Food got mixed review from our group of 11: The lamb kofta did not fare well comparing unfavorably to Cafe Mediterranean. Steaks were very good. Pork knuckles excellent (tip: ask for mustard and horseradish). Ravioli serving was good but quantity was not enough for our teenaged nephew. Soup was sweet (?) and salad was excellent. Overall I'd recommend to come for the experience and if you don't mind paying otherwise there are other selections in Manila.
