“Sky High”
Reviewed January 25, 2013

This is such a promising Tagaytay Attraction, however, it needs to be maintained. Attractions like restaurants should be added to lure more visitors.

“The Peak of Tagaytay”
Reviewed January 24, 2013

Also known as the "Palace in the Sky", it is a must see destination in Tagaytay. It was built by the late dictator as a vacation Palace for the U.S. President. However, construction comes to a halt when he was ousted by the people and was exiled in Hawaii. The house is situated in the highest peak of Tagaytay overlooking Manila, Laguna and Batangas provinces. The lavish construction is a reminder of how he ruled the Philippines. Although the building is in disarray, it is still a perfect tourist attraction. The weather is cold and foggy specially during the months of December to February. Entrance fee is only P30 per head and transportation from the gate to the Palace (about 400 meters uphill) is P40 for a one-way jeepney ride, regardless of number of passengers. Going back to the gate, a jeepney ride is not necessary as it is downhill, except for the disabled.

Once in the compound, nothing much to see but merely an unfinished Palace and souvenir items being sold by vendors. For fruit lovers, these can be found very cheap outside the gate or in the vicinity of the parking area.

A place for everyone.

“Great view and a lot of hawkers.”
Reviewed January 24, 2013

The place was built by the former dictator for his pleasures. It was taken over and called the People's park after. Not much to see. The spectacular view has been replaced by lots of roofs and building though still breathtaking. Careful of the hawkers. There are many. Many many. They will hound you while walking down.

“Excellent local views”
Reviewed January 23, 2013

a great insight for a foreigner as to what was to be for the former dictator of this lovely country had he not been ousted. Its a shame it has fallen into disrepair but you can see the potential grandeur that was planned for the highest peak in the surrounding area.
