The Lake Hotel has one big advantage - a fantastic view of the Taal and the volcano within it.
The Lake View rooms have small balconies which have the view but elsewhere in the hotel the rooms have little or no view (of anything.) The rooms are adequate - a little small but comfortable. The prices charged are inflated for what you get.
The noise from the corridors is loud - whether it be other guests coming and going or housekeeping staff talking or shouting to each other - it was really annoying.
Breakfast is a simple buffet which again is adequate.
The staff are friendly and helpful and the location is good - just a two minute walk gets you to a variety of restaurants, starbucks and a couple of bars which stay open until the early hours. The proximity of things is useful because there are no taxis in Tagaytay and trikes are hard to find late at night.
Hotel prices for motel standards.
