Location is nice, staffs are friendly, breakfast is not that good, for complimentary breakfast is just okay but if you are going to pay ,it's not worth the price.
The beds are not comfortable because of its hardness, paired with too foamy pillow that adds to our discomfort. rooms are clean but the glass windows they use is not Sound Proof, even we stayed in the 9th floor , still we can not sleep because of the noise, including car horns.... My husband said will not stay at SummIt Ridge anymore.

Have been wanting to try this hotel ever since it was opened. Glad that they had a 50% off during weekdays promo. So the 2 bedroom suite costs us only 7000 pesos. 2 bedroom suite can accommodate up to 8-10 pax including children. The rooms are so clean. The bathroom is quite big and very clean as well. Service was great! We kept on asking for additional towels and blanket and they were very courteous about granting our requests.

The only setback was that during our stay, there were about 5-6 times that the electricity went off because of power fluctuation. I guess it was because of the heavy load of travellers since it was a holiday. But they were able to solve it after a few hours.

At the same time, breakfast was kinda bad as well.

Overall, it was a great hotel!

We chose Summit Ridge after driving past it during a previous visit to Tagaytay and thinking it would have good views over the lake - and we were not wrong (although the low cloud cover rather spoilt the view most of the time but that wasn't the hotel's fault!).

The hotel appears to be brand new and there didn't appear to be many people staying there. It has a number of function rooms and seems to be very much aimed at the corporate market. Service was excellent - all the staff were very friendly and helpful and we were in our room within 5 minutes of arriving.

The rooms are on the small side but adequate and nicely fitted out - comfy beds, a small sofa, desk, and a balcony with the great view - all rooms face the lake so you are guaranteed a view. The bathroom was lovely - very clean, spacious and contemporary with a great walk in rain shower. Plumbing was a bit iffy and we had to call the plumber out to the loo which just seemed to swirl water round the bowl when flushed but it was soon sorted out. I have to agree with the other reviewer about the a/c - it was pretty ineffective and whilst it wasn't too much of a problem as it was quite cool in Tagaytay whilst we were there I would imagine in hotter weather the rooms would be uncomfortable. They really do need to sort the a/c out.

Breakfast was dreadful! Eggs cooked to within an inch of their life, fatty bacon, sweet sausages, sweet bread, a few bits of fruit - not impressed at all, especially given the price of a night's stay - it isn't exactly cheap. I suggest skipping the breakfast and heading to the Starbucks next door!

The hotel is next to a new development called the Promenade which has a good sized Robinson's supermarket, and various shops, cafes and restaurants so you don't have to go far for provisions.

We ate at Antonios on the recommendation of just about everyone we know and that was fabulous - highly recommended both for the food and the location, really lovely. It was about a 15 minute drive from the hotel.

Summit Ridge would be a reliable choice if you want good service, clean rooms, fab bathrooms and shops and restaurants nearby - the pool is nice as well. But it's corporate feel wouldn't really suit anyone after a truly romantic weekend and the breakfast is best given a wide berth.

The good news - this hotel has the perfect location in Tagaytay. Our room, being on the 8th floor had the perfect view of Taal Lake and Volcano and it absolutely beats other views in Tagaytay. Service is friendly and quick, from the front desk to the housekeeping services - twas prompt and really courteous. The pool is not too big but just perfect for my young children with a nice view overlooking the developing residential area right behind the hotel. Just adjacent to the hotel is a cluster of coffee shops, restaurants, shops and a supermart.

The bad news - Though breakfast was served buffet style, food needs much improvement given its very limited variety, plus, it was cold (a food safety concern?!!) Our room aircon had its moments, sometimes quite warm despite us trying to adjust its settings; toiletries weren't complete considering the rate one is charged.

There is still room for improvement for this facility but overall, it was a good experience nonetheless.
