The "guide book", you know the one, describes this place as quirky and charming. Sorry but I found it dirty and borderline disgusting. The hardest beds ever, and I've slept on plenty of hard beds in Nepal and elsewhere. The owner was waiting to pounce on us every time we came in or out, with a view to pushing his artwork at us, and would not take a hint we just weren't interested. We refused to eat here after a number of other indications that cleanliness is not high on the priority list.
But putting all this in context, it was only 1000 Nepali Rupee for the night ($10- ish). Then again, we stayed in some really very good places for the same price, elsewhere. As in most parts of Nepal you can certainly afford to look at a range of options before committing to any one place, there are so many places to chose from. Sorry, but give this one a miss.More
