The old House ran by an very lovely nepali couple is just charming. The owner and his wife are helpful and really nice! We enjoyed the old fashion flair so much. They serve good nepali food and the " dining room" is full of beautiful art oft an local artist. Wie would have loved to stay longer....

If you ever plan to go to Dhulikel, thats the pace you have to stay!!! A lovely old house with a very nice owner, who serves you fine traditional food like Momos, chowmein etc for avery good price. This place is stuffed with paintings from local artists you can watch (and buy) them.
If theres no electric power you gonna sit outside with the owner having a cigarette and he will tell you about the older times in Dhulikel when the first packpackers found there home there in the seventies. And believe me nothing has changed since those times!!

This is an old school backpackers place. It's run by a very lovely old man and his wife, who treat you like family (and it sort of feels like you're in your grandparent's house, if your grandparents were Nepali!). The food is traditional Nepali (Momo, Curries, Thali, etc), basic but home cooked and delicious. The rooms are a bit shabby round the edges, but very cosy, with paintings on the walls and colourful bedding. They do great tea and the owner will happily sit and chat to you about the world or you can sit quietly and read the magazines and newspapers they have on the tables. We loved it here and felt like we were in real Nepal, rather than a squeaky clean soul-less place. I'd highly recommend it.
