A group of about 15 of us stayed in this hotel after a wedding. The rooms were an absolute disgrace:
Carpets...Stained
Walls....Peeling orange paint
Sofa.....Stained
Curtains.....full of holes
Bathroom....disgustingly un-usable with stains and mould.
Windowsill was a fly cemetery.
Beds..surprisingly clean but had absolutely no support, so sagged in the middle.

I would advise everyone to stay away from this place. Our rooms had all been booked over the internet weeks in advance so that we didn't have a long drive home after a wedding reception. Our complaints were met with complete indifference. 50 british pounds per room and we were unable to even take a shower the next morning! I repeat......Stay away from this place.

it was probably the worst night ever!!! the room was what i would expect a prison cell to be like!! the bed was like a bean bag, i couldn't wait for day light to arrive. Only Two staff appeared to be on duty, they run from reception to the bar to the kitchen. Whilst waiting for ourfood i could hear the pinging of the microwave. When food came it was awful, my teenage son could have done better!! Oh yeah and why only 3 pillows supplied for a double bed? Definatley wil NEVER stay at a Travel Lodge EVER again

Booked with the Travel Lodge - due to treacherous weather all over the country here we decided not to risk our lives or others. The Travel Lodge Central Reservations came up with oh yeah you can amend details etc, but they were so vague I had my doubts about the credibility. Yeah I was proven right so instead I contacted them and of course they had to admit it was never an option. My advice to the unsuspecting public do not book with the Travel Lodge in the winter at the risk of weather conditions - only if you want to loose your cash

Rooms small unless alone, bathrooms aged and tiny (toilet fixed to sheet of chipboard), plenty of hot water & towels, have to ask for tea/coffe if you want more than one cup.
Room noisy as overlooking busy roundabout. Stayed during festival and prices were over the top but understand due to time of year.
We will pay extra for a nicer/quieter hotel next year as we won't be using travel lodge ever again.

We stayed on Thursday 15th October 2009. The room was clean and well presented. We expected traffic noise, as stated clearly on the Travel Lodge web site, but we did not expect to be kept awake until after 3 in the morning by groups of smokers gathering outside the reception area and by the front door of theclosely located Harvester Pub. The language being used was offensive and the noise from these smokers was very loud indeed. Funnily enough we did not hear any traffic noise! There is no provision outside for Smokers, so Non -Smokers be warned you will suffer! You also have to pay £5 fto park your car, this is not stated when booking. Find a Bed and Breakfast instead.
