“The best place to eat in Rantepao”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 31, 2013 via mobile

This place gave us our best meals in Sulawesi and is really worth visiting. We most enjoyed the atmosphere - there is a real buzz as it is so full. You really need to book (although this might have been the case because it was August). You also need to order Torajan food in advance - we tried a couple of dishes, including buffalo and meat cooked in bamboo - and there was proof of this being a typical dish when we were offered it again at a funeral we went to. I particularly liked the black and the red rice - these again are typical and need to be ordered in advance. Don't miss the delicious fruit juices! We found service very good both nights we went - our waiter spoke English very well.

“Frozen "red snapper"”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 30, 2013

Average food but excellent coffee. Staff friendly. Pity about wiffs of odour from the toilet - better to sit outside or upstairs

Food should be improved

“Food and Service is Poor Value”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 8, 2013

Good location, decour and atmosphere but the staff are slow, can be surly ("you must order before you get wifi password"), food and drinks can be forgotten.

Ordered spaghetti and it was watery and not tv very nice. Indonesian food was great though.

“Best atmosphere”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 15, 2013

Beautiful restaurant, well thoughtout accommodations, servers speak English very well, wifi is excellent, restrooms are clean, food is excellent. By far the best restaurant in town. If you go at night look in the back for the local live music.

“Deserves n1 rank in Rantepao”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 26, 2013 via mobile

Very nice place, which is not so usual in Indonesia, the restaurant is also an art gallery. Therefore this is almost full of foreigners (maybe also because of wifi...). However the food is good and affordable, including simple tomato salad and torajan cuisine.
