“That's it?”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 29, 2013 via mobile

Went here so many times. The fact that this is the must-see thing in this city, doesn't that mean they also have to make it more worth to see? Came here with some of friends from abroad and the common comment was"that's it?" . When it's not in culmination days, there's nothing much to see. This place really need improvement.

“Walking on the Center of Earth!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 11, 2013

A great feeling to walk on the center-line separating our planet in a norther and souther hemisphere. I crossed the equatorial line in Africa and Asia, the Greenwhich line in several places on my journeys, but being at the Equatorial Monument in Pontianak has a special feel. I entered the place as 'low profile' as possible, but the Management seem to have sensed my background and at the end of the visit with some business friends, they offered me a 'Certificate' signed by the Mayor of Pontianak. Great!

“a desserted monument”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 21, 2013

no matter how far this place is and how hot and dry the weather is you need to visit this place if you have at least 2-3 hours free time in Pontianak.
come during the equinox where you'll lose your shadow.

“Stand at Equator Line”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 11, 2013

The most interesting place to visit, when you arrive there, go inside the monument where you can see the original mark for the equator line.
