This was my first visit to a Jain temple. It was different. So it was a new experience for me. Especially if you are not from India and you want to explore diverse Indian culture and religion, this temple is a must visit. In ajmer, you will have enough time so it is highly unlikely that you will miss this due to lack of time. One way you may plan the visit is when you head towards the Ana sagar lake from the Ajmer fort that houses the museum. It is in walking distance from the fort. So you may stroll down the road. The brown coloured structure is easy to find. The admission fee is just nominal. It does not take more than 15-20 minutes to go around the temple. What is amazing about it that all the work done in gold and copper has to be seen through a transparent walls and viewing pores. The celstial sky and the world with numerous figures are worthwhile watching. Recommend to any one visiting Ajmer. You will not be disappointed.

This one is never miss kind of place. It is Digambar Jain Temple with gorgeous work on Lord Adinath (the first path setter in Jainism). All work is in copper and gold. It is massive. approximately 40 feet high and 80 feet wide. It shows 3 important incidents in the life of Lord Adinath and work is just amazing. It is must visit place in Ajmer.

In the building behind the main temple is housed the huge gold leaf model telling stories from Jain manuscripts. Thousands of intricate parts go towards the telling of the story. I loved the airships and the procession of Celestials. The room housing the models is quite large, and you can see it through windows all round the upper part of the building ie you look down on the model. To visit this diorama costs 10Rp, and you can buy a little book with photos and a brief history for 15Rp from the ticket office. This is most definitely worth a visit.
