I went to Nanning to get married, my wife set us up a room in the Phoenix Hotel, Nanning, China. The room service, cleaning and attention to detail was remakable. Very good service. We stayed on the 13th Floor, it was the executive class of suites.
On this floor they had a manager. Very nice poeple as well.
On the down side they were kind of petty at check out time. One of the menus had writing on it, that was not done by us. It was there before we acquired the room. They tried to charge us for the replacement cost of a menu. We refused and never had to pay. There is no way to prove that we did it. This was something that you never think of it, but be aware to little things like this. Once you get your room, go over with a fine comb and inform the floor manager right away, so has not to have any surprise charges.
There is no swimming pool, which would of been nice. The breakfast buffets are the same day after day, better to have in main restaurant then on the floor, you are staying on. If you go there pay cash, do not use Credit Card, it took 4-6 weeks for charges to appear on my MC, after I thought that I paid for the room at the time of card swipe.
The Little lounge they have is a mininum charge seating. 7RMB. Next door there is another restaurant and bar facilty. You can rent a room and do Karaoke.
Many Spa's as well next door.
This is a Governement Runned Hotel.
