“Of flora & fauna”
Reviewed April 2, 2013

This mountian park is just a short ride away from the city. We took bus 10 (RMB1) to reach Qingxiu from Chaoyang and paid RMB20 as entrance. Well worth the effort. Be prepared to walk a lot or you can catch a hop on and hop off buggy (RMB5) for every ride. There are beautifully manicured gardens, lakes, pagoda with panoramic views of Nanning. To save time and energy, we took a buggy ride straight up to the top and walked all the way down.

“A low mountain with wonderful gardens”
Reviewed January 7, 2013

Unlike the mountains in Zhangjiajie, this one does not look like a mountain when one stands near to the ticket office. But it is a long way to walk to the top with steep gradient that even the passenger tram has to spur on its power to reach the top. At the top is a temple complex with prayer halls, a souvenir shop and best of all, a vegetarian restaurant.

We went up by tram and slowly took our way down. At the friendship garden we had a fine time taking pictures of the garden. Although this is near to winter time, the road leading to the friendship garden are full of blooming pinkish flowers. The sight was wonderful. At the garden were the 12 zodiac animals of Chinese mythology and the famous characters of Buddhism on their way to the West! As usual, the monk, Master Tripitaka sits on his loyal white horse and piggy gets ready to fight. Eldest disciple, Sun Wukong as usual shield his eyes to look 1000 miles ahead! Sand Monk Sha WuJing walks behind without the Master's travelling-cabinet boxes.

By the time we took the nice shots we were pretty tired. We tried to stop the tram for a ride back to the ticket office. Trying to save the fare for us, the driver asked us to walk just a few more steps but I think the real reason is that they were rushing to get all visitors out before the park closes at night!.

We missed the two lakes. We missed the pagoda. We missed exploring the back gate area. That sure makes us want to come again. By the way, the metered taxi costs about RMB 33 from the city to the ticket office. By bus No: 32 and others, it is only RMB 1.

“Excellent Park Area”
Reviewed January 6, 2013

This is a beautiful park area. The children loved the play areas and feeding the fish in the lake. They also climbed to the top of the Pagoda (9 stories), and had a beautiful view of the city. We visited this park several years ago ,and they have greatly expanded the park area and added more attractions for viewing. Well worth a visit if you have children on your trip.

“Interesting Park”
Reviewed October 10, 2012

It is the most interesting park in Nanning, and the whole scenic area is full of green trees and plants. The park is rather large, it should need 3-4 hours to tour around the whole park, enjoy in the park.
