I have been to Nanning City, South China 4 times each time for a long holiday of 2 or 3 months.
Each time I go, and I haven't been for 2 years now, I will always go to Just4u, restaurant.
The owner is a delightfully friendly lady who is a friend to all and a great help when something goes wrong and one of her customers needs help.
She became a good friend, and runs her restaurant for Western as well as Chinese Customers, with wonderful selection on her buffet specials Nights, and a really well selected a'la carte menu, to suite all tastes.
The food is mainly Chinese but western dishes can be sampled from the many dishes on offer.
One can have a English Breakfast to order or American Waffles, and most things can be prepared with a little notice!
The staff are attentive and smiling and all speak good English, and know how to make the customer feel so very welcome.
I wish the restaurant every sucess in the future and look forward to the day when I can go back again and here the words... "Just for you" as we are shown to a table in the informal and homely dining room.

Hi, I'm Shaun, an Australian living in Nanning I have been to JFU many times and posted on here before.

I know chicoboy and have to agree with him. During the day it is dark inside, and the new furniture is not to everyones taste. The sofas are dark red and not comfortable. And yep, outside terrace is neglected, the old chairs are gone, and the chairs there now are awful.
However, I like the swivel chairs at the inside tables, they ARE comfortable.

As for whats Bhabs 38 said, I disagree about some things. Most staff DO NOT speak good English, unless Nicole, Tiny, or Ken are working there. Steve is also a good bloke and very helpful, even if his English is poor, he always tries his best.

I get the feeling that laowai ( Western people ) are not so welcome at Just for You anymore. I told the management to bring back KTV and BBQ on Saturday nights. A prominent Western restauraunt in Nanning should not be going Chinese too much.

The food is still pretty good, but don't eat the fish there. I like the grilled Lamb at JFU , very nice, but at 68rmb it is overpriced. Some snacks, jiaozi ( dumplings ) mogu tang ( mushroom soup ) also ok. The Snow beer there is crap, 9rmb, they have Tiger, but it is 15rmb. Need to have Liquan beer there.

Have been a customer since many years but now it has been transformed for people who like a Night Club in day time.

- All red furnishings. Partition walls for privacy. Dark indoor lightening, etc.
And as for the former outdoor sitting area which is now totally neglected, the old comfortable chairs disgarded, the former umbrellas are now used by its owners in their back yard. ( but available upon request )

- In the beginning they had supervisory help from the head chef of the upmarket Greenery cafe but now there is only a non-talking Chinese cook in this kitchen.

- Its present so-called Western food is mediocre at best. However, who really cares for its now mostly patronised by Chinese clientele and the odd foreigners who are newcomers to the city of Nanning. ( some old-timers are still turning up and having a chat and a few cold ones )

Regrettably, its not anymore what it onces was - but then times change and people too!

Great cafe to change up your weekly routine. The bacon burger is literally bacon, no hamburger. But it has lots of veggies that were good. I'm going to ask them to put a beef patty in it next time and I'm sure it will make it a very good burger.

Staff all speak good English. Chinese beer 9rmb a pint, which is a good deal compared to Babel (12rmb).

I am Shaun from Nanning, I'm a regular at Just for You, and have posted here before. The new owners , Steve ( good bloke ) , Momo ( new Chinese Momo, not the old one who was outed as a cheat and a liar who padded foreigners bills with fake purchases ) , Becky ( Yao Yao ), they are great. Old Momo hs been fired, it's all good.

Food quality has improved, beer is icy cold, great new waitresses, but too bad cute and lovely Iris ( a customer favorite ) had toll eave. Jiaozi is great at JFU, also the grilled chicken dish.

I have heard beer cards are back, also BBQ on Saturday night. All of Nanning's favorite foreigners there still, Big Matt, USA Joe, Paul, Richard, Danny Ron, Warren, Daryl, and the lovely regular Chinese ladies, and myself ofcourse!

I'll be back in Nanning on Tuesday, and will visit again soon!
