“Khayam garden.. another great holiday..”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 15, 2013

we was a family group with 2 teenage children,on a two week holiday. Had a fantastic time.. the pools immaculate and clean. The beach a beautiful sandy stretch.it is a bit rocky in places to get in but just walk to the left on to the bend and its ideal for younger children .. no rocks at all.. (don't be put off by the rock comments there are little walk ways through them to get in) and there great to sit on.. Our rep amy..so helpful a lovely girl who was always around somewhere.. nothing to much trouble for her and was spot on with all the information about getting out and about on your own if you enjoy leaving the hotel a few nights or days on your own..it is taxi rides as there really is nothing directly outside the hotel complex.. but they are cheap and always about..we made the mistake of thinking you had tea and coffee facillitys in our room .. but amy 2 the rescue and lent us her own kettle for our stay ..from us she gets a 5* rateing..... The other hotel staff were good Sana in reception was always there with a big smile and a good morning.. bar staff ,waiters were efficient and do a good job and are always as pleasant and helpful as they can be.. remember they work very long hours and like us can have an off day.. but as with everywhere you get favourites ....The room service ladies deserve a special mention as they were always so cheery and did a great job.. The animation team.. they were great.. so funny friendly and really good fun.. again a massive 5*for all they did.. they are a team and work hard together but I will give blacky a special mention because when he went home for our last few days for a wedding the complex seemed to be missing something. The food is good and you will not go hungrey here I have a very fussy eater in our family and there was always something for him to make his meals.. as for me I was spoilt for choice..but for pizza and pasta and chip eaters they are available every lunch time and night. With a hotel the size it is you will never please everyone all the time, but for us I have no complaints and would highly recommend it for familys.. with younger children and teenagers.. remember no need to pack your towels (but you do need to put a 20 dinar deposit on each towel card at the start of your holiday..which is fully refunded at the end..) there are no kettles in the room.. and no hiring them from reception...you have a safe in every room..There is a shop that sells everything you would need, souvineers, cigarettes sweets and snacks..toiletries all very reasonable. ( £16.00 for 200 cigs.. but no tobacco). there is also a change shop there who is open every day except sundays..so you can change as little or as much as you like .. If you choice the Khayam gardens I don't think you will be disappointed.. just remember you do get a lot of poles and Russians who can be rude and pushy.. just ignore them there are a lot of other nationaltys there .. and it all goes to make a great holiday...So a big THANKYOU to all the staff at the Khayam gardens for making it a great holiday. and a big THANKYOU to Amy...( our first choice rep)

Room Tip: Family room has two rooms separated by an archway it made it a good sized room..lots of wardrobe an...

I went with my husband, two daughters and daughters boyfriend. Had 2 weeks at this hotel. The Hotel is right on the seafront, the two pools are immaculate. The rooms are very modern and well equipped, we had a room overlooking the pool and sea. The food was good and there was quite a reasonable choice, some of the food was cooked while you waited. The waiters worked very hard and cleaned tables very quickly, they were also friendly.
There is a restaurant which you can visit once per stay. The animation team worked very hard and there were always a lot of things going on which you could join it if you wanted, there was never any pressure. Blacky was lots of fun and never seemed to run out of energy, the rest of the team were very friendly including Kris who was good company during our stay. This hotel and resort is probably one of the nicest all inclusive holidays we have been on and we really could not fault it until our very last night which was awful and has left unpleasant memories for us all. We watched the entertainment as usual that evening which was a quiz for four members of the audience from different countries (my daughter was on stage for England). Everything was fine until the very end of the quiz when members of the public and the entertainers do the club dance. The stage was packed with myself, adults and very small children dancing when two camels were brought around to the front of the stage steps. The camels look distressed and were right next to the people, loud music and a smoke machine. One of the camels was being ridden by the guy who sells camel rides and quad bike riding in reception (he had been in reception earlier asking guests to get alcohol for him from the bar) He then got up and starting dancing on the camels back urging the camel to go on stage and telling the two camel leaders to pull them up the steps. The camels were being dragged, smacked and their tails pulled to get them on the stage, they were very distressed and kept slipping to their knees. Children had to be pulled out the way before they were knocked over, it was just total chaos and so dangerous and cruel. Both my daughters were in tears and pleaded with the entertainment manager to stop it. I could watch any more and had to leave. I don't blame the entertainers because they didn't know this was going to happen but the entertainment manager who was on the microphone could have put a stop to it. Except for this incident we did have a perfect holiday and would recommend this hotel. I was assured by staff that this spectacle would not be repeated and hopefully it wont.

We have just got back from a 1 week stay (2 Adults, 2 Teenagers 17 and 14 and 7 year old).
Well what can I say, this is a beautiful hotel ( surrounding area the drive up to the hotel not so good)
All the public areas very very clean, hotel lobby a lovely place to relax, reception staff sometimes make you wait while they finish texting on there phones but eventually come to your aid.
Staff very pleasant cleaners and waiters (food area) bar staff okay but can be very ignorant towards the end of the day and favour the Eastern Europeans more but will come to that later.
Not a great selection of drinks ( alcohol and soft ) and were nearly always served in a small plastic cup, I think this is because they can not be bothered washing any glass's up.
FOOD there is a good selection but this seems to be more in favour of the Eastern Europeans food than other. The food was different but nice change.
The animation team were great from morning till night always happy and smiling always willing to stop and chat, I think with reading other write ups if it was not for the team ( shriek, Blakey, kris, mimo and the rest) the holiday would of not been so great.
All the pools clean and in great condition, beach is lovely only down size is it's very rocky for the first 3 metres or so.
Hotel rooms are okay could do we a little more modernising but we never spent a lot of time in them only to sleep which was hard because it was hot because of the weather or cold because we could not get the air conditioning right ( do not get a room over looking the slide pool and stage because the music goes on until 12.00 midnight and this is very very loud)
Now to the Eastern Europeans, this hotel is catered for them, food, entertainment and language ( black lace Agado in polish what's that all about) and remember they are Eastern Europeans so they are ignorant they will push and shove and they will argue with every body they also come down early morning to reserve a sun bed but this is not needed because there is plenty and the sun is all around.
All in all this was a good holiday but I don't think I will be returning.
Everybody has a different experience each to there own our down side was the EASTERN EUROPEANS polish and Russian.

PS if it is a windy day this is not pleasant as the sand and dust gets everywhere.
The weather is very hot in August.

Room Tip: Do not get chosen 1056-1068, 1156-1158,1256-1268 we were in 1260 as this over looks the stage and sl...

We thoroughly enjoyed our one week stay with our nine and thirteen year old children(who never got bored) and would recommend this hotel to everyone.

*Hotel is spotless.
*Right on the sea front.
*All staff (reception, waiters, cleaner) are all friendly and always willing to help.
*Animation team(Shrek,Sam,Kris,Blacky, Nino, Mido and Fatima) are excellent and keep you entertained throughout your trip. They know every guest by name and make everyone welcome.
*Good food but room for improvement as there is little choice for vegetarians. However, after having a word with the chef, he tried to accommodate our needs.
*The shop in the hotel is very convenient and the owner is very friendly and professional and offers a fair price.
*During our stay we met the general manager several times and he made an effort to ensure all guests were well looked after.
*Endless supply of sun loungers on the beach and poolside - so no need to reserve them with your towels.
*Our holiday rep onsite was always willing to help ( Amy ).

Please don't pay any attention to any negative reviews as we can't fault this hotel and its quality of service! Its great value for money

Room Tip: Never have a ground floor room on any holiday as you cannot use your balcony

My husband and i went fo a week all inclusive at the hotel 2 weeks ago. He booked it through First choice holidays, so we hoped that it would be fairly good, having never been to Tunisia before i was a bit sceptical, but there was no need to be!

After getting off the plane we were nearly the last people to be dropped off so thats always a worry, but as soon as we arrived we where warmly welcomed and givena cool drink in the beautiful air conditioned lobby. All the staff assisted carrying our bags to the room etc.

Its a lovely hotel with main restaurant and an ala carte one in the evening and lunch time, you need to ask about this as you have to book, one visit per stay. If you are fussy about your food ten maybe you will sruggle, butwe found plenty of choice lots of meat dishes, salad, fruit, local produce some of it aimed at the polish, russian visitors of which there are alot, but your not going to starve!! i really enjoyed trying all the foods, all well presented very, very clean, staff very polite and will reserve tables for you, this usuallymeans giving a small tip but at £1.00 ago or 2 dinars not breakingthe bank, our waiter put fresh flowers on the table brought drinks etc really nice touch ad dont forget these guys earn next to nothing the Rep told us about £150.00 per month, try geting that service in Leeds on a £1 TIP!!!!

Lots of activities which my husband joined in good fun mixing up french, polish, russian guys in water polo few international arguements, but the animation team work so very hard to be fun and helpfull, Sam, Blackie, Nino all great guys good fun and great shows in the evening, they did a version of Titanic, i havent laughed so much in ages, when they rest i dont know plus it was Ramadan so they are fasting too!

Good rooms, although we asked to be moved as celebrations for Ramadan in the local village carried on into the night and it kept us awake at that point we were on the 3 rd floor, it wasnt a problem for the staff they helped us to move to a lovely room over looking the pool, and i must add the rep Lisa, was lovely ( first choice ) very helpful and approachable.

Lastly we oly ventured out to go tothe famous market 3 dinars there and 3 back, its an experience if you dont like crowds and haggling dont go!! But there are bargains to get you just have to be careful with money etc.

For anonw who has problems with mosquetio bites, i was not bitten once but my husband who is prone to be bitten, and we had taken everything you can think off including Dett!! but anyway he was bitten and it turned very nasty but to reassure you the reception called a doctor who came within half a hour and spoke very good english very nice and proffesional and a great help to us so be assured that there is help if you need it, at this hotel anyway, we heard bad reports of the Omar Khayam, people over drinking , noise etc.

So dont hesitate go for a week in the sun and chill by the pool or beach, lovely beach by the way if thats what your after, this hotel is well worth a visit. We would return but maybe when its cooler,Earlier in the year.

All in all a great hotel , good staff, very clean, good pools and beach, pleanty of food and drink 24 hours in some cases, dont hesitate go!

Room Tip: 3rd floor can be noisy ask for 2nd floor over looking the pool

Have just arrived back after a week at this lovely hotel. This has 2 nice swimming pools and big slides for the big kids like myself. The beach is less than a minute walk from one of the swimming pools. There is a great choice of food in their restaurant but if you would like to eat outside their is mini restaurant with a great sea view.
The one thing I liked about this place is you never had to worry about getting a sun bed.
Entertainment by the Animation team keeps adults or your kids occupied during the day.
Staff are very friendly and if you take a little time to say a few words in their language you will get you will get a lovely smiles back.
My room is very spacious with great sea view with air conditioning.
I would come back again.
