My friend and i spent 1 week ,and it was amazing. most of the staff were friendly, not so friendly in the restaurant, but the animation team, all of them made us feel welcome, lots to do throughout the day with the animation team, how they smiled and laughed all day was so lovely to see.The shows at night were fantastic, just wished there was a disco at night as you could of carried on, only saturday night until 1ish. The pools and areas around were spotless. The room was spotless,so was the bathroom. The room was freshly made up every day with clean towels.Could not fault anything about this hotel. So much choice in the restaurant. Drinks were all good so were the cocktails. We were chosen to go on a trip with the animation team (just 30 places) to see a show, was so bizarre as we both did not know what to expect, which made it enjoyable, we travelled up to the north tip of tunisia and saw a tunisian street show, then to the caves for another show then to see a bird show which you have to see to believe it, what an experience, and lovely tunisian food and drink, all of this was FREE. We both felt honoured to go. So would we go back again a BIG YES.

Room Tip: ask for see view.

We spent a week at this hotel with our grown up children, daughter-in-law, and two grandsons aged 2 and 5. Visually, first impressions were good; the lobby area is newly renovated, spacious and modern. Sadly, the check-in process wasn't as impressive - we had booked two twin rooms to be interconnecting, and a family room, and had requested ahead by email that all 3 rooms be fairly close to each other. They tried to put us in a suite instead of two interconnecting twins, which we refused as there was only one bathroom. The family room was as double bed with a single sofa bed so not really big enough even for two small children. This was resolved quite quickly, and they upgraded the family room to the suite that was reserved for us, and we were given interconnecting rooms, but on the first floor; the rest of our party was still on the 3rd floor. Not the end of the World!
All of the other guests we spoke to seemed very negative about all aspects of the hotel - not what you want to hear on arrival - and because of our first experience we were very concerned! Here are our opinions, which changed over the week for the better, although the hotel has some way to go before they can honestly earn their 4 star rating.
The food was what you would expect from an all inclusive. It was hot, there was a good selection of local and western food. The deserts were good. Two or three 'cooking stations' serving freshly cooked food per meal sitting. Waiters were 'reserving' tables for guests who plied them with tips at the start of their holidays - this was difficult for us as a party of 7 to always sit together. Management need to discourage this asap.
The Bar staff were a little surly! They constantly ran out of glasses, and if you asked for a specific drink, they would try and give you an alternative without asking! Some guests were saying that they ran out of beer at 11pm the week before.
The rooms are clean and functional. Our shower was so powerful it was like hot needles, but better that way than not powerful enough. There was clearly ongoing work to try and get the hotel ready for the summer season as the corridors smelled strongly of white spirits for at least two days.
Pool area was clean. The water slides were rarely open though, and one of them closed as people had cut their legs and backs apparently. Plenty of sun beds, but this is early season.
The animation team is what made our stay - we arent usually ones to join in evening entertainment but they made you want to join in as they worked so hard to please everyone from morning to night, every day. My grandsons loved Shrek, Sam and Blacky, who remembered their names everytime they spoke to us. The hotel owes these guys A LOT!
The area around the hotel is grim. We didnt leave the complex as the children had everything they needed, and 2 and 5 year olds aren't known for their appreciation of Tunisian Markets.
In the evenings, there is nowhere to go to get away from an awful organ player in the lobby, or the entertainment which was held in a conference room. Some nights, the lobby felt like an OAP's home!
In summary - there are some teething problems which need sorting out - if they dont, come high season, they wont cope. The basics are there, but we felt as if we were part of the 'dummy run.'

We've just got back from a week at khayam garden and we loved it. Took our 4 young children and we didn't want to come home. Only let down I could say is the food wasn't as available throughout the day as I thought it should be for an all inclusive. Would 100% go back and the animation team were great fun and friendly.

We traveled to Tunisia as a family of 3 with an 8 year old. The area around the hotel isnt great lots of worn out and deralict buildings and not alot to do outside the hotel. you can walk to Nabeul in about 20 minutes which we did to visit the Friday Market. Definately reccomend it - loads of bargains and not too much hassle walking round.
The hotel itself is another kettle of fish. Its so well kept with cleaning going on day and night and the staff were amazing from the moment we arrived.
Our room was immaculate and lovely see view, only down side being a poorly designed shower which flooded the room on full power. Comfy beds, big balcony and english movies on tv which was great for my son when winding down from a hectic day.
The pools were lovely and the indoor pool a big hit on the 2 days we had bad weather. The outside slides were fantastic for the kids. The restaurant was was lovely with lots to chose from. Buffett could have been hotter but they cooked lovely pastas fresh to order and fresh barbecued meat and specials daily.
The main pro to this hotel were the staff who just couldnt do enough for you and worked so hard with permanent smiles on their faces. Sam, Blacky, Nino, Kris and Fatima treated us like friends and put so much effort into making sure we were happy. Massive shout out to Shrek who my son and I thought was amazing. His fantastic archery each morning, Crazy water Polo in the afternoons and general smiling and friendly attitude made us very sad to leave.
This hotel still has work ongoing which when finished im sure will make the hotel top class and didnt spoil our time there at all.
We would definately return and look forward to seeing how the standards will improve even more once its done.
Thanks for a memorable holiday :-)

if it wasn't for the animation team I would have come straight home they were brilliant from 8 in morning till 01 in morning shrek blacky mimou nimo sandy kris Fatima sam all brilliant
the hotel has just recently re opened after modernisation from le prince been closed 2 years what they have done in reception looks brilliant and cleaned from 6 oclock on a morning the rest of the hotel looks great in brochure or from a distance but on a closer look there are sunk and cracked drains round main pool broken lights with exposed cables, rooms that store sun beds that are currently being refurbished which you have to go into to get sun lounger covers that have holes in walls and exposed cables there is a drain between animation pool and indoor pool that is just a hole in floor full of dirty fly infested water you then make your way upstairs to indoor pool where there are exposed wall sockets and damaged marble steps into the indoor pool that has flaky peeling walls of paint and weeds growing out of roof and mouldy doors and drains.
the rooms look brilliant in book but ours had defective shower screen which was broken and and to operate air con there was a damaged breaker unit on patio door that you had to put 2 wires together to start air con in room.
the food was the same every day certain chefs were brilliant for cooking food but others could not cook for toffee chicken still pink in middle not cooked
bar staff brilliant but problems with Russian people and best bar man left hotel 2 days before we went home to work at another hotel because he said Russians were ignorant gets.
management and tour rep I brought all my concerns about hotel up with them and hotel just too list from rep and never heard another word from them they all just carnt be bothered and rep just said will keep chasing up problems I have video evidence I will be sending into Thomson holidays to have hotel removed
loved Tunisia out of hotel thought it was brilliant and highly recommend Zulu trip it was value for money and very entertaining but hotel is a discrace would rate as 2*
will add photos when I have unpacked

Room Tip: don't travel to hotel if you do get a sea view
