Stayed here for two nights on safari, it is in an excellent position for the ngorongoro crater!

Rooms - Massive ! a king size bed and another single bed, fireplace, sofas, terrace, double bath and huge shower. The bed was very comfortable and the shower was amazing especially after a long day. the terrace overlooks a field where we spotted various field animals and the farmhouse itself boast a huge array of birds, was very comfortable to sit and relax.
The only down side to the rooms were they were about a 5 minute walk from the restaurant, but after a meal you don't mind the stroll.

Food - I thought the food was great, lunches were served to you, all very tasty stuff, in the evenings it was a buffet but again I thought all very tasty - soup/salad to start / various dishes for mains / and cake, fruit or cheese for dessert. Free tea and coffee all day too.
Breakfast was your usual continental, some bits for a fry up and an egg station.
If you need to take lunch with you, they have a station in the morning where you choose your fillings for a sandwich, and they had keesh, cakes and fruit to pack too! i thought it was a great touch being able to pick my own sandwich and filling.

Considering the poverty outside the walls, I felt like I ate like a king in comparison.

Service was good and I thought the staff were friendly enough, they certainly wasn't as attentive as the previous lodge we stayed at which only had 6 people dining, but we liked that we was left to our own devices.

I would recommend this place to others, I thought it was a great stay and the location to the crater is fantastic.

Great location just minutes from the park entrance to Ngorogoro Crater. Built around a coffee plantation with nice views. Has swimming pool and massage facility. Good South African wine list. The rooms are large and comfortable with gorgeous views overlooking rolling hills reminiscent of Tuscany. Good location for visiting nearby Lake Manyara.

A very nice hotel with an excellent kitchen. The Farm House is in a real quiet place and the houses are clean. We were with friends and we had rooms next to each other. During the night there are guards so you feel realy safe.
My wife and me took a massage and it was very dissapointing. If you like a massage and you are used to the Asian masages, you must skip this one. They only rub a little and it is really nothing.
I paid $ 80 totally for one hour and a half hour and it was really nothing.
Later during my holliday I tried it once more somewhere else but it was the same. The African massages are a dissapointment.

Room Tip: Our room was on the outside of the facility and we had a nice vieuw over the farmland.

We stayed here 2 nights during our honeymoon safari. The staff just did not seem to care so much, they were neither friendly or unfriendly. The rooms were clean but very noisy, we could hear the american couple next door word for word lol The grounds were beautiful with à great view and beautiful main building. The food was not so good in our opinion. Overal à oké stay but we would go somewhere else next time.

Large clean rooms with large clean bathrooms. Plenty of hot water. Our room looked across 500+ acres of cultivated land. There is 24 hr. guard security with dogs. All the food consumed on the premises was grown/raised there. A nice change from other types of accommodation. Close to the crater. Beautiful drive there on mostly paved road (for a change).

We stayed for two nights after returning from the Serengeti. Our room was a very large semi detached bungalow that was beautifully situated on the edge of the farmland. We had rows of coffee bushes in front of our veranda. As i said the rooms were very large and maybe a little sparsly decorated. Bathroom was well appointed. The only negative i could find about the rooms was the noise travel from the other part of the semi detached. The noise was such that you could actually here the people talking and using the bathroom. The resturant and gardens were extremely nice, well laid out very clean and well maintained. The food was buffet style and very tasty with a good variety. Soups were superb and deserts were tremendous. As you would expect the coffee was great and they had cheese and biscuits. The kitchen were on full view and very clean. The staff were very friendly and helpfull. We had coffee brought to us on the deck one morning and nothing was too much trouble. Packed lunches were good. There were several dogs that went around with a guard and one night there was bit of barking in the early evening when a Leopard went through the grounds. The one gripe i would have was having to pay for internet connection as most places had free wi fi. All in all a lovely place to stay.

Room Tip: I f you dont want to walk too far ask for a room close to the farmhouse. We quite enjoyed the walk t...

Lovely setting on a coffee plantation with amazing views of the nearby mountains. Literally just outside the crater so only a few minutes’ drive in the mornings for safari. The rooms were amazing, quite spread out so expect a walk but staff took bags on a trolley. Our room was huge, 2 big beds and a living area with armchairs around a fireplace. Bathroom had a double bath and a shower. Also, a large terrace overlooking the gardens which caught the sun late afternoon. Food was lovely; buffet breakfast, a packed lunch made at a counter so you could choose what you had and then a mix of a la carte and buffet dinners. Sun downer drinks with snacks were served while the local Masai men danced and played music. The pool was nice but a little cold!
