Me & my friend booked 8 days lemosho route and at the end we managed to do it in 7 days. For this we need to say a big thank you to our guides Thadeus and Meshack. They were very flexible with our requirements and always supportive. Very mindful guys who always wanted to be sure we have everything we need. This is one of our best experience ever. I would also like to mentioned our cook Wolfgan who made an effort to prepare vegan food for my friend. The whole team of 11guys was great!!
After Kilimanjaro we did 2 days safari. Since there were only the two of us and our guide Saudi, who is really knowledgeable and passionate about his job, it felt like an amazing private tour.
Not forget to mention that communication with Sibano and Cynthia was easy and quick.
As I already mentioned, I would wholeheartedly recommend them but to be completely honest not everything was perfect.
We were supposed to join a small group of 5-8 people, we were flexible about dates. On our day to Kilimanjaro ( in moshi ) we realized that the hike was organised just for us ( no communication to us was made). At the end of the hike we had to pay more tips ( which represent a lot of money)
Sleeping bag was also a disappointment, they are not fit for Kilimanjaro ( we were freezing).
But ones mentioned to popote, they offered us an hotel night at the end of the hike.
Again, we had an excellent trip with popote

We booked a seven day Kilimanjaro climb with Popote and really enjoyed the tour with our guides Godfrey and Dulla. The communication in advance was quite easy via WhatsApp. The tour dates could be changed several times and questions were answered instantly. Due to illness we couldn‘t start our tour at the previously planned day. Even in that case the team was flexible in starting two days later without any extra charge. Airport pick-up and drop-off was also included and punctual. The organization on the mountain was professional. Our heart rate and oxigen was controlled on a daily basis. The equipment offered was high quality and clean. The food was a lot and always great - much more than expected for a hiking trip! Fresh vegetables and fruits were served every day. We even got a tent with a camping toilet. The team was great. Finally we reached the top and had a lot of fun. We really can recommend Popote and would book with them again anytime!

I went to Tanzania to climb Mount Kilimanjaro and to do a safari, with Popote Africa. Both experienced were amazing. The guides were very nice, careful and funny, and so were the team of porters and cook. They all helped me to climb the Kilimanjaro to the top, and then to get the best views of wild animals. Huge thanks to everyone in popote africa.

So you decided to climb Kilimanjaro? Don't look any further, go with Popote, you won't regret it!
Extended version
So you decided to climb Kilimanjaro? Awesome! What is without a doubt your biggest concern: am I gonna make it? Well, the Popote Team got your back! OMG, these guys are sooo dedicated! They will do everything in their power to get you up there. They will almost make you feel like you are on a 5 star holiday. I say almost, because this climb is never to be underestimated. So the only thing you have to worry about is your fitness and your gear. They will take care of all the rest: set the perfect pace for the group, advice you on what to wear during the day, advice you on what to wear during the night, give you the right food for lots of energy needed, set up camp, provide a clean toilet, keep you hydrated... For us, getting to that top, was also thanks to the ever positive atmosphere and the neverending enthousiasm in the group, so choose your company wisely. Reaching the top was strangely enough not the highlight of the trek, it was the complete journey with this absolutely amazing Popote crew! Love you guys forever!
I would like to add some special credits to the cook of the team. The food was absolutely amazing. Oh no, no loss of apetite here! It was all day, every day fresh and delicious: chicken and fries, mac 'n cheese, spaghetti,... we even had pizza! I had my birthday on the mountain, a birthday cake came out of the kitchen tent on 3850m! They also have a delivery of fresh foods halfway the journey, so the freshness of the meals stays a priority througout the whole trek. And trust me, you need it!
You will have excellent value for money! Consider the Popote-price is an all-in price! From the pick-up to the drop-off at the airport, all your accomodation and meals are included. The toilet is included. Sleeping matresses are included. Only money you need is for tipping and Kilimanjaro beer. ;)
We rented 2 sleeping bags with them, they were excellent!
The booking process is quite simple: you book the tour, you get an itinerary, you pay and that is it. For an adventure like this, it felt a bit akward, but eventually everything was arranged absolutely perfectly and seamless!
So if you're serious about climbing Kilimanjaro, choose local, go with Popote and you will have the time of your life!

We had an amazing trip with this heartwarming and professionel crew. Stanley and Babu (as the main guides) and all porters created such a nice atmosphere! Everybody worked on the group's success, which ended up in a 100% summit rate :-) Even though summiting was incredible, it were all these lovely people, who made this journey unforgettable.
Special thanks also to Cynthia and Sabino from the office for also taking care of us. From beginning till the end it was a very smooth, transparent and appreciative process.
