I booked the 6day Machame Route and a 3 day Safari with Popote. Sabino and Cynthia responded very quickly to my emails and answered all my questions. From the airport pickup until I left again everything was organised perfectly. On the mountain our guides Abdalah and Innocent were very experienced and made sure we made it to the summit. After the Kilimanjaro hike I went on an Safari with Beatus my guide and Joseph the cook who made sure I got vegetarian food. They took very good care of me and we had a good time they even taught me some swahili words. Beatus knows a lot about the animals and explained to me everything. He is also a great photographer and made sure to take the best photos with my iphone and his binoculars :) I really enjoyed my time in Tanzania with Popote and I will recommend them to all my friends.

We had an incredible time summitting Kilimanjaro with Popote Africa in January 2022! Right away, Sabino was extremely responsive and help organizing a hike that fit with our schedule. Stanley and the mountain team were extremely professional and great fun! I was shocked at how amazing the service was. As someone used to backpacking solo, it was a real treat to have porters and a chef. The price was very reasonable, the gear was well maintained, food was delicious, my dietary restrictions were accomodated, and they even carried a portapotty for us (which really was way too kind). 6 days was the perfect amount of time for the hike. Be warned, summit day is tough! But the team will take great care of you :)

My husband and I just returned from Tanzania after completing the 8 day Northern Circuit route with Popote!! From the time I first reached out to Popote until they dropped us off to the airport after our trek, we were very well taken care of. Sabino made sure to answer all of my questions and was very thorough and transparent throughout the whole planning process. Our guide Stanly and driver Inocent were waiting to pick us up from the airport when we arrived and made us feel so loved and welcomed!! Stanly was incredibly knowledgeable about the mountain and was so kind. We had all of our questions answered at all times. While on the mountain we had an incredible crew! Godfrid (Mr. G) was our assistant guide who was also incredible, he would often check in and offer to take pictures for us. Mr. G took some of the most incredible pictures of my husband and I that I will cherish forever! Chinga boy, our cook made some amazing food and kept us very satisfied the whole trek, he would also give us sweet treats before a lot of our hikes which was so kind and thoughtful! Our waiter and porter Zadani took the very BEST care of us, checking in often making sure we felt good and satisfied at all times! Janja, another porter, also went out of his way to go above and beyond for us our whole trek. We were so grateful for our personal toilet that Moto took excellent care of, it was very clean and such a treat. We loved our entire crew, felt SO safe and cared for the entire time. Look no further for your company! Popote goes above and beyond in every aspect of your stay!!! We would choose them over and over again.
