We climbed Kili with Popote in June 2019 and had the experience of a lifetime. For three clients, we had two exceptional guides, an exceptional cook, and ten exceptional porters for a total cast & crew of sixteen. Our route was nine days via the Northern Circuit, and we requested a night at Crater Camp as well, which was granted along with all the personal monitoring and medical attention you would expect. Make no mistake about it - these guys are AWESOME! There are not many comforts that can be afforded above ten or fifteen thousand feet, but surely Popote provided every one. We had excellent meals every day to keep our energy up, and the crew monitored our vitals and briefed us daily on our progress and plan for the next day so we were constantly informed. By the end of the trip, we were a family, and I would be thrilled to climb with any of our team again. Shout outs to Sabino and Radeem on customer service, our guides Arthur and Jerry, John's amazing versatility when it came to cooking, Crazy Willy who kept the energy level up every single day without fail, our toilet man Eric who brought the equipment all the way up and into the crater... the list goes on and on.

We ALSO did a five-day Safari after Kili with Popote, and the same overall review applies - exceptional service and attention with a guide (Kanti) who clearly knew the lay of the land better than most of the other drivers out there. We saw everything, and I mean everything - as if by providence. Every day came with laughter and smiles, and in addition to just having a wonderfully rich safari experience, it genuinely felt that our driver wanted to be there and give us the best adventure possible.
