“Best place to eat in Moshi”
Reviewed July 18, 2013 via mobile

A strange menu combination of Italian and Indian. We ended up selecting from both menus during our three recent visits before and after our successful climb of Kilimanjaro. Great food. Friendly service. Reasonably priced dishes. Fresh salads that are safe to eat! We dreamed of returning in the midst of our Kilimanjaro trek!

“Great pizza!”
Reviewed July 12, 2013

Quite the strange combination, with italian and indian food. But the pizzas are really good and we toped them of with indian pickled lime! I bit slow...

“Cheap and decent food”
Reviewed July 11, 2013

Ate here a couple of times during my stay in Moshi. They serve great indian food and also pretty decent pizza. Cold beer for an affordable price aswell. The restaurant is also located close to the main street. Great place for people watching. This is defenately one of the best restaurants in town. Try it!

“Service was a little slow, allows more time to drink beer”
Reviewed June 28, 2013

We were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the pizza since we were expecting bad to mediocre at best. Everything seemed reasonably priced to us and we looked forward to stopping by again after getting off the mountain. Beer seemed very inexpensive compared to what we pay at a restaurant back in the states. Worked out to about $1.85 for a 16 ounce beer.
Nice outdoor seating area even though there isn't a great view of anything from out there.

“If you found this on Lonely Planet, you will pay tourist price”
Reviewed June 22, 2013

I had a fish masala, and a bottle of Serengeti, which amounted to Tsh 15,000. And according to Lonely Planet, that is the moderate cost of meal in Tanzania.

It should be understandable, that if this is a restaurant that can be found by tourist online, and is frequently visited by tourist, they will charge tourist price.

The cost of living is increasing in Tanzania (just compare the prices in different guide books over the years), and while this price may not be outrageous, it shouldn't be regard as cheap or valuable. I'm guessing you can get a similar food locally, for less than 10,000 Tsh. You do get what you paid for.
