WE arrived and were 8 people squashed on two benches, which is fine if you are short however if you are tall you knock knees with everyone. For the price one paid you would expect a bottle of water. There were no toilets available only at the restuarants when we stopped for lunch or else the bush. Stopped in the middle of nowhere and there was no one giving any information. When we did stop over for lunch we did not stop at the place that was mentioned on the website. Then the one establishment did not even have milk for coffee????????
Could not wait to get the day over.

We where 7 people on the train cost one way R40 per person and R40 back. Get the train at mosselbay Harbour and the it goes for approximately 30min. Very nice staff and it stops at 2 other small stations . Will do it again was so much fun and you will relax

Oh my goodness! Every single one of us had a blast on the Diaz Express. We went on an educational trip as a group of employees from Oceans Hotel. The atmosphere was amazing. We laughed and sang classic songs while others told stories. The 2 gentleman who took us on this journey was so well mannered and made us feel 100% safe throughout the whole ride. More people should experience this train ride to experience Mossel Bay, Tergniet and Great Brak River from a whole new perspective. Thank you very much to the 2 men for the unforgettable time we had. More people will hear about your very awesome and unique business.

Booked the "train" to GrootBrakrivier as a means to head off to a nice slow lunch at Transkaroo in GrootBrak to make an excursion of it. Only "Tom" and "Dick", two of the usual three named coaches, were coupled up - "Harry" was off sick requiring an engine transplant...

The trip through was very pleasant and getting a chance to see a different perspective than when using the roads, we got some great sea views along the trip and some really great views of the fynbos and dunes, we even saw a pod of dolphins frolicking in the waves on the return trip.

The stop over in Grootbrak was a little too short to enjoy a really great relaxed meal at the Transkaroo restaurant and we had to rush our dessert to make the trip back. On the return leg we stopped of at Seeplaas for a half hour for a coffee, again the timing was a little too short as 3 coffees and 1 hot chocolate we ordered took 25 minutes so we eventually had to ask them to put them in take away cups for us.

I think an extra half hour at GrootBrak and an extra 15 minutes at Seeplaas wouldn't go amiss so one can drink in the views and atmosphere of both stops in a relaxing manner without having to keep one eye on the clock...

What a nice outing.

It is so nice to see the area from a different perspective. The views are great. The drivers are very experienced, friendly and share their experiences freely when you chat to them. We did the Groot Brak trip. I definitely want to go again for the Santos trip.
