The staff are always friendly and helpfull.
The rooms are always clean and confortable.
It other hotels in the Mossel bay area are over rated and over priced where as the Point Village Hotel is a class above the rest on comfort and pricing.
I will travel only to Mossel Bay on business if I know that I have a room booked at the Hotel

Used to vacationing between George to Plett always just drove past Mossel Bay never considering ever vacationing there. Was on way home to Cape Town from Plett and wife suggested we stay over for 1 night but it changed to 2 would have been longer but had to be at work next day. Friendly staff made stay enjoyable will definitely recommend and go there again some time this year.

Room Tip: South facing apartments best view avoid north facing because face others back yard.

The hotel is quaint and we really enjoyed the decor. However, the view overlooked someone else's garden so we could not use the balcony and it was quite invasive. The location is very nice very close to the beach where we saw whales and had a great dinner.

Stayed in a lovely two bedroom apartment which had superb balcony overlooking the ocean. Both rooms ensuite with sliding glass doors in lounge area. Helpful staff, spotlessly clean. Had only planned to stay one night but stayed a second as a great pace to relax.

A shower was not available within the room . The room make up time from the time the prior visitor booked out is slow. The location of the hotel is very good. Secure parking is provided within the basement. Good amenities such as restaurants are available within a short distance from the hotel. Hotel is recommended.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a shower if this is a requirement

The hotel is conveniently situated close to the center of town. It is close to restaurants, the sea (right on the beach) and the famous Diaz Museum Complex and The Point Cave. There is no breakfast offering so you have to find a restaurant that opens early or make your own - basic kitchenette facilities in the rooms. Everything was clean and it was quite comfortable.

Room Tip: Ask for a room that is not on the road side of the building as some noisy passing traffic was annoyi...

The Point Village Hotel has made a significant statement with its presence at the entrance to the popular Mossel Bay Point recreational area. The Point Village Hotel offers luxury accommodation in 16 en-suite rooms, each with its own kitchenette, as well as 7 suites with self catering facilities, each with 2 en-suite bedrooms and fully equipped kitchens and 6 fully self catering units with 3 bedrooms, en-suite bathrooms, lounge, dining area and fully equipped kitchen. The atmosphere is chic yesterday that blends with modern today in a relaxing holiday feeling. The hotel rooms are very spacious, luxurious and furnished in contemporary stylish but unpretentious themes. The hotel has not only become popular with South Africans but has also become a first night venue for hikers on the World Renowned Oystercatcher Trail. A typical quote is from Gary Welsh, the leader of one of the hiking groups who spent a night here on Sunday last week, before setting off on the 4 day walk along the coast to Gouritz River, "Great and spacious rooms, modern and in a way futuristic. The decor is stimulating and unusual, moving away from the normal ‘copy and paste style’ of most hotels. The locality is indeed, unbeatable." ... more   less
