The lodges at Pinnacle Point are excellent, we had a 4 bed lodge that included great entertainment space and the obligatory deck and brai. The only disappointment was the disorganized reception desk, having to phone for transportation (no cars allowed in resort) to get anywhere proves hit and miss, the very friendly drivers were consistently let down by miscommunication from the reception. I would hate to experience this in the high season, I imagine it would be chaotic.
The restaurants were, at best poor, the casino buffet earning the unlikely accolade from our team as 'the brown' restaurant, due to the fact that every food was a tone of brown, with MSG in abundance. I would suggest visiting Checkers the local supermarket and stocking up for home cooked comforts. the entire resort was very quiet, but even in high season whilst it would be busy, I still will lack charm and sophistication, keep in the confines of your wonderfully appointed lodge and you won't be disappointed.
The golf course whilst spectacular and a true feat of engineering, was disappointing, for the serious golfer this course is not for you, go to marvel over the spectacular views and cliff edge shots, but expect to have no clue where to hit your ball and never have a flat lie.
Service in the club house is OK, the food though is very average for South Africa.
