After being served yukky Nescafé everywhere else (how come coffee producing countries don't promote their own products!?), you're gonna love the real and very good coffee the Lava café barista prepares. Don't hesitate to ask for a strong brew if you're into that. Apart from the coffee, they have hired a great chef to make tasty dishes. The regular menu's around town are not very exciting, but here is someone who dares using herbs and can prepare a pretty swell sauce bernaise to go with tender and handmade fish fingers. Delicious sandwiches and salads are on the menu too, often served with a heap of crispy fries. Soup is tasty, as are the various cakes. If you spend more than one night in town, you may find yourself a frequent guest here. Personnel is very friendly and even though not everything is always available (it depends on what they find on the market that day, ask to make sure you choice is there), you'll leave the place satisfied and happy. Beware, the place is closed on Saturdays, they don't have a timetable. Still, thumbs up for Lava Café!!
