“Worst hospitality I ever faced , hotel to be avoided”
Reviewed August 12, 2013

The first room I stayed for 30 min had such a terrible plumbing problem that the roof was falling in pieces all over bed ,the second room I got was so dirty and smelly that I had to buy sheets to sleep in .there were spits marks on the wall the ac had 1 inch of dirt on the filter and when we turned the shower on it was impossible to keep the water in the bathroom .i felt sick every minute I spend in this hotel . I could never imagine to find such a trash place, not even in my worst nightmares how can it be ranked #1 and all the reviewers are senior contributors and senior reviewers

I have been several time in Pointe noire and staid at Villa Madiba.
The service is excellent, wifi is good (which is important when you are on business trip), the restaurant is also of a very good standard.
Every time i have stayed there i was staying in the Annexe, my rooms have always been spacious (huge bathroom with bathrobe, weight, slippers, toiletries, great bath...) and luxury: a walk in closet as well as complimentary fruits and snacks (freshly backed cookies).

This hotel is located next to the beach. The rooms are spacious and very nice decorated, trendy with a glimp of local art. The hotel, garden and the swimming are very clean. I stayed here twice, and for me this is the best hotel in Pointe Noire.
The only minor point is maybe the breakfast. For a hotel of this price, I expect a bigger choice for breakfast.

Its been about 5 years since my last stay at the ultra expensive Villa Madiba.

Still ideally located and accessable to the town and port area.

Hotel is starting to take some strain but still the best in town. From check in the warm smile is a welcome home. The rooms still large and spacious. Nice touch is the amount of freebies. For a tooth brush and tooth paste toi a comb to nearly everything you would need.

Just hated the shower in a bath but at the size of the room you forget about the small things.

Bar area nice and efficient and breakfast a do it yourself option with the offer of something hot. Totally relaxed and not stressed and used the hotel for some meetings in a nice open enviroment.

Loved the cocktail peanuts and snacks with afternoon and evening bar visits.

Overall still got the same high standard and friendly atmospehere that make it my fist choice in Pointe noire

Room Tip: The more you willing to pay the more bigger and better the rooms and experience gets.

Recently spent 3 nights in this hotel with a large, very nice room at the back of the hotel overlooking a small pool belonging to the below beedrom. My room was very nice indeed with a huge bathroom, separate dressing room and 2 terraces. Service and attention to detail superb but in all fairness so it ought to be at that price.... Restaurant ok albeit service a bit slow, great terrace overlooking pool and beach just accros the road. Large area by receiption for meetings and just chilling out which you need at heat and humidity in this part of the world is very high and hits you like a wall as soon as you go outside. Drinks, well anything there very expensive - you have been warned.

Room Tip: Provided money is absolutely no object then a room with seaview. Check room access as not all have l...

Hard to find a better quality hotel in Pointe Noire. Pato is very helpful with any technincal issues with internet and computer related problemsand Jacques helpful generally. I used to stay here around 20- 25 nights a year but unfortunatley do not anymore out of a matter of principle: I was told I would recieve a preferencial rate by the Russian manageresand this never materialized and was later denied that this was ever said. Unfortunate but I cannot fault the hotel quality: rooms and service. Also bear in mind this is Pointe Noire which has had significant improvements over the lsat 5 years and hopefully more improvements to come.
