This is a new hotel. As there were no reviews online I decided that I would write one, so that anyone thinking of travelling to Ibadan would not be filled with the same feeling of the unknown that I had.
So why have I rated the hotel as very good?
Well firstly it isn't very good, its disappointing in many ways.
What could have been a lovely hotel has been finished badly, by sloppy carpet fitters, bad plumbers and other tradesmen who either didn't have the skills to do the job or couldn't be bothered! My shower didn't have any power as it had obviously not been connected correctly, I don't complain because I find complaining in a Nigerian hotel more painful than just putting up with substandard service. The window in my room didn't properly fit in the window frame...
For Nigeria though these are quite small issues, so I didn't really mind and I would happilly stay here again. One day hopefully Nigeria will have hundreds of hotels and the competition will drive up standards. But until then you might as well stay here, as it's definitely the best place I've stayed in Ibadan and I would recommend it because you will find a decent (for Nigeria) hotel. with friendly staff, the barman and the manager for example were excellent.
One tip.. unplug the tv receiver, or it will beep loudly everytime it is reset when the power goes down and you will be woken up!
