I frequent Kisumu from Siaya and take this time to treat myself to western-style-dining. The food here has never disappointed me, and the variety is most welcome after sticking to traditional Kenyan dishes. It's a great place to stop if you just want a hassle free meal, where they actually serve everything listed on the menu. Don't come here if you're in a hurry though, because service is usually slow. And, if the weather isn't pleasant, this probably isn't the best choice because most of the dining area is outside. Hawkers sometimes come try to sell their fruit/trinkets/newspapers while you're eating, which can become tiring. Be sure to try a milkshake or dessert when you're here though - especially the sizzling brownie! And if you happen to be in town on the weekend, the upstairs bar scene is a fun, safe place to hang out with friends.
