“All you can eat Fridays”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 18, 2013

They have a huge buffet on Fridays. You pay 750 shillings (jacked up from 500, might change again) and you get amazing Indian food. They have some vegetarian options. You get ice cream at the end. It's pretty magical.

They get you on drinks. A beer is expensive for Kisumu, something like two-fifty bob, and they gut you if you order a water, like a hundred shillings.

It's a cool setup. The seating is semi-open air, underneath the first floor. If it pours down rain, no one gets wet. They also have fully-open air seating. Kisumu never gets cold, its usually very pleasant in the evening.

It starts a little after the sun goes down, maybe around 19:30. You might want to check first. You shouldn't need to make reservations, just show up.

“basic decoration and atmosphere but good food.”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 2, 2012

the food here was really tasty, however the tables were all outside resulting in a ridiculous amount of mozzies attacking you while trying to enjoy dinner. the staff were all lovely as well and were more then happy to call taxi's etc.

“Great for late dinner Friday evenings.”

My first taste of Kenyan Indian cuisine and it is delicious. A large variety of dishes to choose from and the price is right (about $6.00 USD for all you can eat!)
