“A nice place to relax!”
Reviewed July 2, 2013

We visited this Hilton Garden Inn during a 4-day motorcycle trip around our home state. We arrived early afternoon and the staff was very accommodating about letting us check in as we were hot and tired! My husband had business to attend to so I relaxed by the pool and hit the whirlpool, following a visit to the fitness center. Our room was fairly quiet (other than a couple with some noisy children nearby). The room was large, clean and very comfortable. Internet service in-room worked pretty well. The location of this hotel was excellent...close to everything desired. The lobby was comfortable as well. Although they have a small restaurant, we didn't use it. The only negative for me was that they didn't serve a complimentary breakfast, but I guess that this chain doesn't do that.

This was our second stay at this hotel and we were very happy both times. It is a beautiful hotel and is very clean. The staff was very helpful and the value is excellent. The only negative was noise late into the night by a group of young people on our floor who were in and out of their rooms frequently with loud talking and door banging.

From a road warrior perspective on the road 40+ weeks out of a year. Seek hotels that have all the "comforters" of home. Seek hotels with good ratings, clean and welcoming staff. To add a staff that knows the meaning of guest services and can handle a guest preference, change(s), problems with professionalism, smile and some follow-up (if there is an initial concern).

First of all, let me be sure to compliment the positive and it’s a lot. The exterior of the hotel is appealing and well maintained. The interior lobby and amenities are very appealing and well maintained. The location is great, within 0.5-1 miles of major shopping malls, shops and restaurants. Freeway access is not far away from the hotel.

The desk clerk was extremely nice and professional. I think a little busy because the lobby was full, but handle us nicely and with a big smile. Arrived to check-in early; ask for an early check in and was accommodated without a hassle, think it as Tracy.

First room assigned was on the 1st floor, requested a room changed due to the 1st floor is high traffic. Told to wait for others to check out and call the hotel back at 1:00 pm. After pondering, decided to ask if another room was available instead of waiting for the 4th floor room. The desk clerk did her best to help and accommodate as most of Hilton desk clerk do. Accommodated with an early check-in and the first room available. –“Thank you so much for that”. Assigned a room on the 3rd floor, told it was all that was available for our check-in time. The room was awesome but was in front of two large AC Condensers systems that ran all night and made loud noise. Not the desk clerk fault, she tried. Ask for room change about 4:30 am in morning, which was suppose to past onto next Desk Clerk but never made it. Another requested placed late morning around 7:00 am to be moved in afternoon. There was a huge miscommunication regarding the room changed (“too much to write about”). Called about 1:00 pm and the desk clerk that answer the phone told me that there was “no rooms” available! What!! Now keep in mind I spoke with the gentlemen at 4:30 am and was told I could move anywhere because many rooms would be available. After a short wait on the phone, the young lady came back and said they had a room available. Nevertheless, originally ask for a room on the 4th floor in a low traffic area, this time around got the room originally requested. Just wish the Desk Clerk(s) hadn’t taken the extra step to make sure we were happy with the 3rd flood room, and noted in their book to move us once our originally room requested came available instead of all the hassle. For all the hassle, Tracy offer a free breakfast which was nice of her.

To the rooms, the first room was suite extremely clean and appealing with 2 TV’s. The bed and pillows appeared to be clean and was extremely soft/comfortable. The room was equip with a large portable fridge and microwave with the usual coffee/condiments. The bathroom was also extremely clean (did floor test) with the usual toilettes. The only downside, outside the window was two large AC condensers that ran all day and night. Other than that, the room was awesome.

The second room was a suite with 2 TV’s and was appeared to be extremely clean and appealing. The bed and pillows comfortable and soft. The room was equip with a smaller portable fridge and microwave with the usually coffee/condiments. The bathroom extremely clean (did the floor test), but the shower head leaked and the paint on ceiling in the shower was peeling. AFTER all the trouble who cared… In all, bathroom was fine and equip with all the necessary toiletries. Nevertheless, the room was located in a very peaceful area of the hotel and very nice.

The housekeepers weren’t loud which is good if you are working from your room, conference calls and etc. No banging and loud talking. They are nice and pleasant.

The breakfast and dinner were okay, and the quality of the food appears norm/okay. Ms. Shirley was awesome in the breakfast area and it was clean and maintained.

Overall, this is a very good hotel, it’s extremely clean and bedding is comfortable. I wish the Desk Clerk(s) would've follow-up regarding room preference in the beginning. Pay good money for good hotel rooms. If a guest/customer request a room change or room preference, whether Diamond or not - accommodate the guest without a hassle. It's not the Hilton Brand way....

Room Tip: I think room 407 is best, not facing the front side of the hotel where the AC are located on top of...

The hotel is a typical Hilton Garden Inn - nothing fancy, but it doesn't try to be fancy. It's got all the necessaries, is clean and well run. The room was clean, the furniture was in good shape, the bed was comfortable; the only odd thing was the method of turning on the shower - ask the front desk how to do that before you try it yourself (it's actually kind of fun and I see why it is done the way it is). The best part of the hotel was the front desk staff - they were great, all of them - Tracey, Kathy, etc. They tried hard to help, and were on the side of the guest; they seemed to really want the guest to have a good experience and remember them kindly. I do!

(1) beds are rock hard (2) a/c doesn't work consistently
When I finally did get to sleep, waking up in a hot sweat due to the crappy A/C doesn't make a guest happy. Not the type of features I would expect from a Hilton Garden Inn. We were there with 4 other family members they all said the same thing about their respective rooms. Disappointed is an understatement.

The room was great and clean, Bed was very comfortable. The staff was very nice and greeted everyone with a smile. The pool was a little small if you are traveling with children. The breakfast bar was great. I will recommend this hotel to friends who travel and will stay here again.

This is a great hotel in Jonesboro. It is very clean, elegant, quiet. The rooms and decor are modern and comfortable The bedding is soft and comfortable and clean. The breakfast was worth the cost with hot made to order items and healthy fresh options as well. Our only complaint was that the beds are remarkably hard and smallish in size (didnt feel like queen) leading to poor sleeping experience.
