We stayed in this hotel on our way to the Moremi game reserve rooms 101 and 103. The entrance to the hotel from the road is so narrow only one car can either enter or exit at a time. Would advise then to demolish the flower pot on the right( as you come into the hotel). Safety first then you can decorate as much as you want.

The reception area is modest , nothing to write home about. Small crammed. The reception staff were ok not exceptional. Check in was difficult as they could not give us adjacent rooms with my kids. We requested a rate with no breakfast ie bed only but it was flatly refused. They only do bed and breakfast not bed only...we wanted to leave by 0530am ( buffet breakfast would not have started. We were told breakfast would be packed for us.. presumably prepared the night before. Needless to say we through the stale sandwiches and eggs away.
Checkout in the morning was a nightmare. There was no network so the lady could not help me quicker. Imagine having a team of tourist in a tour van waiting for you and an inept receptionist. I had to look for a receipt I had made through luggage to speed the process. Bad bad bad for your reputation.

The rooms themselves are outdated. They gave us khaki towel, I know they will claim they were beige. I am used to hotels with crisp white towels. The rooms are small with lots of Mosquitos. Insect repellant is a must for your stay. The gardens did not look nice. Lawns not well manicured, shrubs not trimmed and poorly lit . You should take a leaf from your sister hotels in Gaborone or Francistown.

The thing that killed it for me was no wifi. No wifi in the rooms only at the restaurant. How can they hope to attract the morden business people without these basics nowadays.

I stayed at Cresta Riley's Hotel during a work visit to Maun. I had originally intended to stay at another well know establishment and had my reservations about Riley's. I was pleasantly surprised on arrival. I was offered a welcome drink and my check-in went smoothly. My room was modern and the amenities were of a good, modern standard. There are two bars situated on the premises and i had a drink at the pool bar where I saw a very rare pair of Paradise Flycatchers. The restaurant was excellent and i recommend the buffalo wings and any steak on the menu (I had a T-bone).

Nice hotel with a good restaurant and wi fi coverage. Centrally located. Clean rooms and nice beds. Used by business people so the standards are high. The restaurant was good as was the service. After bouncing through Botswana it was nice staying in some comfort for a night.

Perfect drinks, cozy bar, nice design, amazing internet speed (as for Africa) - spent 4 hours, uploaded all pics and completely restored all contacts. Excellent choice for broadband in Maun. Located next to the big shopping center

Stayed at Cresta Riley's, Maun while in town on work. It's a nice hotel, located in the "old mall" area of town, less than 5 minutes drive from the "new mall"/airport area. There's also a Nando's across the street.

There's a pleasant garden area by the restaurant with free wifi internet that is fast and reliable by Botswana standards. Food is decent, breakfast buffet with standard fare. There's no fitness center, but the pool seems like it will be nice once they fill it with water for the hot season. The room was clean, modern, and comfortable.

This hotel is only good for a short, quick, overnight stay. Not for tourists at all. Worst food we had eaten during our whole entire African trip (breakfast was ok), sloppy and inconsistent service in restaurant. Small rooms.

Arrival - both stays we experienced slow, slow check-in. Very casual reception staff. The 2nd stay they had to "check to see if breakfast was included" with the front desk manager, and "we will let you know”…still waiting.

Accommodation - tiny, small rooms (all rooms are accessed from outside) modern, queen size bed, clean and comfy, combined bath/shower, loo and vanity area, hair dryer, power points for recharging, desk with chair, large flat screen TV (fuzzy), fridge, safe, coffee/tea facilities. Walls really thin and you hear the TV next door, clearly!!

Food - worst food quality we experienced during whole African trip. Breakfast o.k. (selection and quality very poor). The 1st stay they chased us down to pay for breakfast, which was included in room rate and they said “sign "and then “we will check at reception if it is", so we signed but again, they never got back to us. We checked our bill on check out. Other travellers we met at airport said the hotel tried to charge USD$25 p/person for breakfast so check bill on departure.

Facilities - small bar near restaurant (soulless), restaurant, outdoor tables and benches, small swimming pool in the shade.

Best - comfy bed and location to bureau de change (exchange currency)

Hint - had 6 days on safari in delta/moremi/chobe area and spoke to many other tourists that required charter flights to begin the safaris from Maun airport - who recommended accommodation outside Maun, in hotels in the Matlapaneng Area or Maun Lodge for decent food and service. Maun itself is nothing much, dusty, hot, main street with Nandos, liquor stores, petrol stations. Opposite the airport is a good cafe, but other travellers ate in the lodge/hotels at night. Loads of taxis roam around all hours.

I have stayed here on Jan 2012. The hotel is cozzy, and everyone is very nice. The food is excellent. The only negative points: the swimming pools was completely green (dirty), the internet (which is only available on the restaurant) is unstable and sometimes there is lack of electricity (but that is something that affects the whole city). I would definetely stay here again.

Room Tip: Choose a room next to the restaurant - this way you can have free internet in your room.
