Salt Flats

Review of Hotel Jumari
5.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed Jan 3, 2019via mobile
We loved this hotel. It was centrally located and very clean. There are lots of restaurants nearby. It included breakfast. The showers were hot with great water pressure. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

Clean room and hot shower but the waterRpressure was a bit low. The breakfast was ok, but fried egg was the only hot meal in it. The hotel does not include cold water and one has to buy a small bottle for 6BoB. If one needs hot water, one has to asask for.it and then the staff would pour it for you and bring it back to the kitchen, which is inconvenient. The Wi-Fi disconnected from time to time. The payment has to be processed in BoB and no credit.card is available. The heater requires gas which is dangerous. The payment only by cash no credit card here. The check in time is 12pm which is a bit late for me. Overall, my comment to this hotel is not as good as many of the reviews on Tripadvisor.

The hotel staff were rather reluctant to offer basic needs for their customers. For example, one has to ask for hot water and the staff would bring a bottle to pour it for you and then bring it back. No cold water is available. The WiFi disconnected from time to time. The heater is gas-burnt in rooms which is dangerous. The breakfast was ok.

Good choice to stay in Uyuni.
Located in the center. easy to go anywhere.
Friendly staffs, especially owner's daughter with fluently English speaking.
Room is clean, and room cleaning every day(it's not common in Uyuni).
      24 hours hot shower,
Free WIFI...mmmm 80%. Sometimes stopped, but this is whole Uyuni, not only this hotel.
      Good breakfast.
No elevator. If you have a heavy luggage, watch out. it's 3500m high!
Taxi between airport is 10BOB per person. it's fixed.
I stay there again on the next visit Uyuni!

This is a useful base for a before and after trip to visit the Salt Flats in Uyuni. It is well located, has good beds, a working shower (although the hot water is sometimes temperamental), helpful staff and an adequate breakfast.
I would suggest bringing warm clothes not only for the cold atmosphere of Uyuni, but also for the rooms - they provide gas heaters, however these are also temperamental and as such as we regularly got quite cold!

It was excellent to be met at the desk by a friendly young woman with great English. She sorted us out quickly and got our bags taken to our room.

The room itself was spacious enough with warm and comfortable beds. The shower was strong and hot, almost too much so but very welcome.

      Internet is very fickle.

Breakfast was excellent, with a great array of fresh fruit, a choice of yoghurt, pancakes, toast, bread, cold meat and cheese and more. Sadly we were leaving early so just grabbed some bread on the run.

At a little of $50US per night, this was one of the pricier hotels we stayed at in Bolivia for similar facilities but we were certainly comfortable and well served.
