Great tour with Hoshin (driver and guide) and Ferminia (cooker) ! Nice and relaxed atmosphere, good food, good organisation, lots of informations from Hoshin on the scenery and the places we visited. I loved that he made us climb a rock mountain.
I had the feeling Hoshin was driving very well, I felt safe the all trip. Our jip had a few little issues (batterie down in the 2nd morning after the very cold 1st night and 1 flat tyre) but I guess this is normal on those conditions (roads/altitude/cold) and everything was resolved quickly.

I had a lovely time on the 4 day tour. Met some lovely people who i shared the jeep with too. There are two tiny seats in the back which is fine if your small like me but I can imagine could be uncomfortable. The guide Nelson was very friendly and gave us plenty of time at the stops to take photos and was a fantastic photographer too. He was also able to fix the car in about 10 min when we got a flat tyre. He was very patient with our limited Spanish and was happy to go slow to help us understand. We even got some lovely walks and a picnic lunch and breakfast. The cook was incredible. She prepared meals for meat eaters, vegetarians and vegans at almost no notice as to the dietary requirements. Including a delicious vegan cake and pancakes. It was wonderful.
The only negatives were that the food at times was late because there were other groups using the kitchen and that the sleeping bags smelt of petrol. The company asked for feedback at the end of the trip and seemed to take it seriously so may well have acted on this.

It was an amazing tour! I recommend to go with La Torre tours, the driver drove very safe, gave good information, the food was nice (also for vegaterians) and the views and stops were breathtaking!

I traveled with a friend and we booked the 4-day-Tour from Tupiza to Uyuni. The first day was mostly driving through the mountains with a few stops at lookouts and a little Machu Picchu. They told us before, that the first day is like the worst day and after that it gets better every day. But I was really flashed by the first day. Just imagine a plan is flying over mountains and you can pick a place somewhere in the middle to get out and enjoy the nature and silence. The whole day was just like that: you in the middle of mountains, incredible nature,.. I still can't find the right words for it.
At the other days we did lots of stops at different laguna, an alpaca farm, hot springs, sand mountains, saw lots of alpacas, donkeys, flamingos, a fox, different kind of birds,...
in the evening of the third day we arrived at a salt hotel in the near of the Salar de Uyuni. We went there for the sunset.
The last day started very early at 5am, so we could see the sunrise in the middle of the salt desert on a hill. Such a great experience! After that, we did like the usual stuff, drove around, took lots of funny pictures and went to a salt museum.

All accommodations were really nice. They are basic and cold (so ask for a sleeping bag at the La Torre Hotel), but very clean. Our Tourguide was Leo. He is a really funny guy, told us a lot about everything and did like a personalized tour for us. He asked a lot about what we are interested in and brought us to many nice places. We spent the whole tour with a couple in our car and another car with 4 people, their guide was Leos brother and his sister in law cooked for us. The food was really delicious and totally enough for everyone. There was one vegetarian in our group and she got every time her own nice meal. Even one was gluten intolerant and she got special things, too. So no one has to worry about allergies.

All in all it was the best thing I ever did on a trip. You don't have to think about it, if you are near Tupiza or Uyuni do definitely a trip to the atacama desert and Salar de Uyuni and if your near by Tupiza, book a tour with La Torre Tours! You won't regret it :)
