We stopped in for ice cream after a day of exploring the Ozarks in early July. My husband and I had ice cream that was delicious. Our older son had an old fashioned float- he chose the drink and was given a glass bottle of it to pour over the ice cream himself. Our younger son had a huge chocolate chip cookie which he said was awesome. The atmosphere inside the bakery is homey and pleasant. We didn't try their food, but will next time. The treats were great!

Wanted a quick bite while passing through Jasper. We had their sandwiches which were proper, hand made sandwiches made with carved meat, no "lunch meat". Their applesauce was also homemade and very tasty. They also bake fresh muffins and tasty desserts. We had a slice of home made apple pie which was very good. One of those great local places that are still around in small towns!

Our family of four hiked the Lost Valley trail in the Ozarks a few days ago, and then made a impromptu decision to stop in the little town of Jasper just to look around! We fell in love with this little town - so much going on in such a little ol' place! Next thing we knew, we ended up near this little bakery/deli and couldn't stop ourselves from going in there - it smelled AMAZING! We looked around a bit first and had thought we'd just have a little snack of some sort...that's not what happened... we ordered sandwiches and bottles of pure cane sodas and sat down at one the homestyle tables! They bake their own bread and smoke their own NO GMO meats! HELLO?? That is totally awesome! We ate our sandwiches and then had to have some of their bakery treats! I can't find the right words to really describe how fantastic everything was - excellent flavors, totally all-natural ingredients, homestyle dining room with so much character! To be honest, I want to OWN this little place myself! I fell in love... :)

They smoke their own meats and pair it with homemade bread - what's not to like? Homemade applesauce wasn't my thing, but had to give it a try anyway.

If you're in the mood for pizza, this is the place in Jasper! Homemade crust from natural ingredients. There was a small sign out about the pizza on the sidewalk that read at knee level. They need a bigger sign! Recommend the chef's favorite: Bacon, mushroom & spinach with white sauce---Yum!
