Description: Cliff House Inn and Restaurant overlooks the Arkansas Grand Canyon. We are a seasonal business open from March 17 through the first to second weekend in November. (It depends on the fall leaves on the trees as to when we close in November. Call for hours after the first weekend in Nov). Restaurant hours during our season are 8 am to 2:45 pm Sunday through Thursday and 8 am to 7:45 pm Friday and Saturday. We have a 5 unit motel and 3 cabins. The cabins are open year-round.

My husband have traveled to this area four times from Florida and this restaurant is always a must stop locations for us. The fluffy yeast raised biscuits are worth the drive alone! The restaurant is rustic, charming, friendly and the view is incredible ! there is a deck that you can walk out onto for a better look down into the canyon above the birds and trees. The food is very good[we have only had breakfast] . We will return every time we are in the area. We just don't seem to be able to stay away. it feels like a second home.

I usually ride my cycle there once or twice a year and make it a point to stop there
The view is a fifty mile view of the Arkansas Grand Canyon and coupling the view with great food is worth making this a destination
A MUST for bikers!

Don't get me wrong, I like their staff, they're very nice, i like the overlooking view specially during fall, the food is good and the restaurant. But if your an asian tourist, beware of the owner which happen to be the cashier, because you could be in a different treatment. his son also is very inconsiderate, we asked if we could swap our seat with the one near the window and won't consider. he told us " you need to fall back in line if you want the window seat". usually the restaurant owner pleases the customer, but this is the other way around, you need to please them so you can stay and eat in their restaurant. luckily for them there's no other restaurant nearby, so if you're hungry and want to eat you really don't have a lot of choice but to stay. Good thing our server is very friendly and very professional, so it evens out our first impression.

I am sorry that you feel you were mistreated during your visit at the Cliff House. October is a very busy month for us because of the fall colors. When we have a waiting list for tables and your name is called, and you refuse the table because it is not by a window, the only option we have is to put you back on the waiting list. It was not because you were an asian tourist. This is our policy no matter who it is. If you had already been seated and wanted to change tables we could not change your table because it would not be fair to the people who were on the waiting list.

If you are riding through the Ozarks you probably already know about this jewel. So this review is aimed at the newbies.

We reserved a suite for next year while we were there because of the great view and excellent central location. I only had a morning snack so I don't feel qualified to review the food but what I ordered came out pretty quickly and was good the waitress was great and the staff made us feel comfortable.
The view from the walk out porch was orgasmic. The parking was good if a bit limited but I doubt the restaurant could comfortably seat more than 60 guests at a time, so the parking was probably sufficient. I can't wait to stay next October and if you are smart reserve a room 9 months ahead of time minimum.

A unique overlook serving very tasty homemade food. Our lunch entrees were very delicious and large, generous quantities. The service was friendly and the atmosphere was fun and very engaging--lots of antiques to enjoy while you're waiting.
