My wife and I stayed here in our way down to the south of France, and it was more than worth it, La Bichonniére is in an ideal setting, off the beaten track about a 15 minutes drive from /to Auxerre it's run by a charming and very welcoming couple Stéphane and Julia, who both make you feel very welcome Julia serves a delicious breakfast, and they are both more than helpful in explaining where to go and what to do, and places to eat the rooms are very comfortable, La Bichonniére is for relaxing and peace and quiet, so no television, just beautiful countryside, and tranquility fabulous just to chill out. The one thing that annoys both Stéphane and Julia, is that all the restaurants in the charming village are closed on a Monday, of course that was the day we arrived, but they were more than helpful in finding a place in Auxerre for us.Evelyne and myself Jeff would like to thank Stéphane and Julia for our more than pleasant stay, and can assure them if we are ever back in the region we will be coming back (if they have room of course).

We had a lovely 1 night stay at Bichonniere, wished we had stayed there 2 nights! The B+B is situated in a manor with a few perfectly decorated bedrooms. Every detail was to the highest standard. The rooms were quiet and we werent awakened by late coming guests. The breakfast was superb, generous and of high quality, even hard boiled eggs!
La Bichonnerie is run by two lovely owners, Stephan and Julia who were very friendly and helpful without being overbearing as some hosts in B+Bs can be.
The place was a bit hard to find even with a GPS as the sign to the house is very small and it is literally located in the middle of nowhere, on a beautiful spot in the countryside, about 15minutes driving to Auxerre which was well worth the visit.
For 85 euros you can't beat this place! Would definately go back...

Room Tip: The room at the end of the hall had a huge bathroom and lovely views from the window

We stayed here for a long weekend to celebrate the wedding of a friend and it was an absolute joy. We got the Eurostar into Paris and rented a car at Gare du Nord, drove north out of the city around the circular highway and ended up in Lindry 2.5hr later. The directions to get there on the website worked really well and the journey was smooth and went without a hitch.

We arrived to find the house deserted and my partner noticed a bell outside the main entrance. A swift tug and the son of the patrons came over to introduce himself and show us around.

Inside the house is beautiful, spacious, cool and well appointed. The sofas are comfy and and the views from the terrace are enchanting. Our room upstairs was lovely especially the lovely little soaps from Madegascar imported by the owners. We went for a drive into Auxerre for dinner and arrived back a little tired from the first day travelling.

Morning was bright and the smell of coffee downstairs drove us out of bed. Our little one was already on the complementary wifi checking the news back home and watching YouTube stuff. The breakfast table was groaning with goodies at least 10 different local preserves, boiled eggs, cereals, hot drinks, juices all sorts. Our hosts joined us for a chat about local sights and visiting options, helpfully providing leaflets and pointers on the map.

Each day there were new things to do, I'm glad our rental car had unlimited mileage. It took us a few journeys to work out the quickest ways back to the village and the wedding in the nearby town of Pourrain was idyllic.

We didn't do the wine tours opting rather to enjoy the country side and the seclusion and privacy afforded by the house and the surrounds.
