We didn't know what to expect, but were very pleased with the trees, lake and beauty of this Ozark area. Each morning my husband and I would sit on the porch of our log cabin, drinking our first cup of coffee, breathing the clean air, listening to the bird songs, and enjoying the view of Crown Lake.
One drawback is the distance one drives for a coffee shop, but the restaurants in the area are sufficient for most meals. My husband is a vegetarian, and we had some strange looks, but friendly responses....every waitperson was willing to check with the chef for altering the menu to fit his requirements. We loved visiting the Ozark Folk Craft Center State Park...it's a "must see". Spending a few hours on the Southfork River in a canoe is another adventure one should really do to complete their stay here. We came home with a sense of having been on a real vacation.More
