Beautiful scenery, specially when it’s sunny. Not too big, you can walk around in 30 minutes. Big variety of cactuses. We went with the buggy but decided to bring it back to the car, because there’s a lot of steps. My 2 years old daughter enjoyed it too.

The cactus garden was amazing. A Manrique masterpiece!
We would thoroughly recommend a visit. It’s a photographers paradise, there are many different cacti to admire and the layout is beautiful.

We had relatively low expectations for a garden featuring only cacti, but it turned out to be really enjoyable and we’d thoroughly recommend it. Set in an old quarry, it’s sheltered from the wind and home to hundreds of different cacti. The Cesar Manrique influence is obvious.

There is a restored windmill that is worth climbing to and a veranda cafe with views over the gardens. There is also a gift shop and plenty of clean toilets inside.

We thought that the entrance fee of €4.75 per person is good value. Allow about an hour for your visit.

Swung by the cactus garden at the request of my 8yr son who is mad on all things cactus!
As we arrived there were several coach tours present so not as tranquil as it could have been but some stunning specimens to be seen.
You have to be part mountain goat to get around to see the most out of the place, I couldn't see how anyone in a wheelchair could get around and the steps are challenging at times.
Would have loved to have stayed longer and enjoyed a coffee in the restaurant overlooking the garden however due to the coach trips there was no chance

The Cactus Garden is a masterpiece of César Manrique. It is the ideal place for people who love cacti. They can spend hours on end looking at many many different sorts, which are planted on the terraces of the garden, protected from the wind by a wall. You can sit in the cafe (in typical Manrique style) or go up to the windmill, from where you can overlook the garden and the landscape around. The windmill is a famous landmark of Lanzarote. Photographers should go to the Cactus Garden before the sun goes down because of the golden light. Sitting in the Garden and looking at the plants and the visitors is a very relaxing pastime.

It tickles me every year to see Feros Townsendiannus....not many people could have a ferocious cactus named after them but each year it grows and I managed to find it again! Great place for a relaxing visit with a nice coffee & cake in the shadow of the windmill at the far end.

Visit the cactus gardens one afternoon and enjoyed the walled quiet of the place. The outside heat and noise felt miles away and a couple of hours were enjoying walking around all the different levels and a stop off in the cafe, which sold delicious food and drinks.

Definitely worth making an effort to visit

What a little treasure. I have never seen so many cactai in one place. They are amazing. Built in an old quarry its the last Design of Cesar Manrique which is a series of terraces full of these spiky plants in a wonderful setting. A great visit.

These gardens are extremely well laid out and a pleasure to visit.
On the day we visited there was quite a queue and the entrance process seemed hap-hazard but once you get past this it is well worth the wait. It is worth considering the 3 location entry to cover the caves and national park if you are touring the island
