“Wonderful Weekend Getaway Again.”
Reviewed May 27, 2009

Me and my husband decided to go over to Heber Springs for Memorail Day this year .
We stayed at Lindsey's Rainbow Resort it was nice for the money. There was alot of rain but had a few breaks in the clouds so we could still do some fishing.
The resort was nice and clean and close to everything.
We have some friends over there so we fished off there pier.
We did catch a few Rainbow Trout,But not close to the limit just enough to cook for dinner one night.
We ate at Cafe Klaser's beside The swinging Bridge Resort which was great ,We had a Blooming Onion for appertizer and I had The Stuffed Steak and hubby had the Steak Moutarde both were very good.We sat out on the patio, beside The Little Red River,They have it lite up at night with patio lights like Christmas. The next day we ordered out at The Smoke House (good BBQ)and took it to the park close to the Dam to eat a picnic there. We also visited the Fish Hachery which was very interesting learning about all the trout fish. The next day we ate at Michaels Italian Restaurant,It was also pretty good.
we hung out with our friends one day and toured the homes they are building in the area. They live by a airplane landing strip. It was so cool almost all of the homes in that area had there own airport hanger in there yards. We could not take to boat out on the Little Red River because they were generating the water so the current was too bad.So we fished off the pier. The water is freezing there,No swimming in the little red way to cold.It did rain on us a few times but we didnt melt.all in all it was a nice little getaway for the weekend.
We found a baby deer that was abanned from its mom.He/she was very sweet little deer.

My wife and I just needed an escape from the city (& work) and wanted a secluded and quiet weekend. Lindsey's offered just that. Our cabin was very clean and maintained and got even better when Mr. Lindsey walked me through starting the gas fireplace. This made it very cozy. The Lindsey's are very nice and will do whatever it takes to make your stay outstanding. though we didn't fish, we hear the fishing here is great. We had a wonderful time and would recommend this place to any couple wanting a romantic getaway or a family wanting a nice cabin experience. We will defintely be back to take advantage of all the water and nature that Lindsey's has to offer.

If you enjoy fishing, and the outdoors this place is for you! Our first time to the Ozark Mountains and it's just beautiful there. Also the first time for us to Trout fish but we caught our limit both days we were there. The Lindsey family who own and operate this resort make you feel like part of the family. If you can you must use their guide service. I believe these were the friendliest people I have ever met. The cabins were very clean and cozy. Ours faced the river so most of our time was spent sitting on the porch watching the fisherman at the dock. We did not want to leave. Lindsey's will definately be a once a year trip for us!

If you can't find a place to spend you honeymoon this is a great place. My husband and I spent our honeymoon here back in March of 2004. The two person jacuzzi cabins are wonderful. We just relaxed after a crazy night after our wedding. The staff is so friendly and if u need anything they will accomidate your needs. I would recommend this resort to anyone that just wants to get away.

I have become a regular at Lindsey's because it is simply the oldest and best trout resort on the Little Red. It is very professionally managed by the Lindsey's who live on site. They are super nice and make sure you have a wonderful time and take home your limit of trout. The friendly and competent guides leave nothing to worry about as you enjoy the beautiful river and its animals. The wide array of cedar cabins are immaculate and charming, with many facing the river. The pool is especially nice in the summer and the jacuzzi's and fireplaces make fall and winter trips just fine. The fishing is good even in the late fall and winter when things are quieter and flyfishing is popular. The on-site Pot of Gold Restaurant is convenient. There are many interesting things to see and do nearby, including the dam overlook, fish hatchery, and visitor center, and plenty of good restaurants of all kinds in Heber Springs, although they do close fairly early in the winter. Wal-Mart and specialty shops add to the fun. The ride from Memphis is manageable. Shhhh! Don't tell anyone else about this hidden jewel!
