I grew up on the lake and it's the hot spot in the summer. Tons of people come to the lake. Renting a boat and just relaxing is the thing to do during the summer time.

Raised close to the lake! So beautiful! So much to see and do. Camping, hiking, beautiful bluffs, swimming, skiing, boating, fishing and even more beautiful sunsets.

We rented a party barge from Heber Springs Marina and had a great day on the lake. Drove to a little cove with a waterfall and had a blast. It was very crowded due to it being Memorial Day weekend but we had a great time!

My wife and I Stayed in Fairfield Bay for a week. We like going down to the lake, its very relaxing. This time i took her to the Marina at Fairfield Bay so she can feed the fish. She hadn't done this yet, and was surprised by the multitude of carp there just wating for the feed. The call it "the fish frenzy", and it lives up to its name. For 50 cents you can get a bag of fish food. Like I said the carp is there following your every move. She enjoyed it emmensely. We stayed almost an hour, watching kids come and feed as well. A fun day at the lake.

You need to like solitude, not many choices to dine, great place for waterspouts and fishing, photo ops. Some excellent camping sites.
You can bass fish in the lake and do trout fishing in the Little Red River. Only entertainment will be your books and DVDs.
