This was the first lodge we visited on a 2-week safari. On arrival, even though we had seen pictures before and read about it, we were mesmerized by its beauty. Our trip was booked by go2africa.com in Cape Town and Camp Moremi was one of the 3 lodges arranged by go2africa.com in the Bostwana part of our safari. We truly enjoyed this lodge.

Our raised luxury tent was rustic and comfortable. We had a resident hippo who visited every night and made noises. I actually loved that. The camp grounds are so nice and relaxing.

The management was best of the 3 Desert&Delta lodges we visited. They were really attentive to the guests. The food was also very good. The free laundry service offered in all Desert&Delta lodges was certainly handy.

Our guide, Banda, was also the best here. As for game viewing, it was also exceptional. Saw all Big 5 in the first full day, except rhinos which are very rare to sight in Northern Botswana. I strongly recommend this place. Moremi is a beautiful reserve. Go there.

Camp Moremi was our first stop on our two-week safari. We could not have been more pleased. Game drives were amazing and our guide, Banda, was wonderful, and did everything possible to show us what we wanted. My husband and I are near-vegetarians (fish only) and the chef prepared special things for us at dinner. The entire staff was friendly, helpful, and you got a sense that everyone got along well and enjoyed their jobs and talking to the guests. Frank, MC, and Michelle were especially great. As luck would have it, my husband fell prey to an intestinal bug the first day night we were there. The staff could not have been more concerned for his welfare, and even arranged to have the visiting company doctor see him--at no cost to us. Fortunately it was nothing serious and he recovered quickly. Would definitely stay there again.

This was our third and final stop on a victoria falls, chobe and delta holiday. We were at Moremi for 4 nights. Highlights- so many I could mention but drifting off to sleep to the sound of hyenas and hippo; our briliant guide Kitso who was a fount of knowledge about animals, birds, plants, local geology as well as being a first class driver; being met just inside the camp gate after every drive or boat trip by a waving and smiling member of staff with a coolbox full of face cloths rolled in ice; the dancing and singing of the camp staff- we were lucky enugh to catch 2 very different and wonderful peformances; the care they took of me- I am a fish eating vegetarian with a wheat intolerance- every day they had made me gluten free bread for breakfast time, rice flour pastry quiches and pizzas for the 3.30 high tea. The camp managers MC and Michelle were first class- nothing was ever a problem and they made everyone very welcome. This was a magical place- we can't wait to return.

This was the first time I had been to Africa and the staff at Moremi were absolutely wonderful. They were thoughtful and very warm, we felt like we were taken care of everyday. The food was great and they even brought out special food for my friend who didn't eat red meat.

Camp Moremi has a wonderful, attentive staff. The rooms are lovely, a tent with all of the amenities on a raised teak platform. The bathroom is very nice except that it is about 3 feet from the bedroom.across the platform At night when it is dark, that is a little scary. The food was very good. The location is great, we saw lots of animals. This was by far the most remote area in which we stayed but they have managed to create a lovely oasis in the middle of the bush

My wife and I, for our 80th year, traveled to Botswana with two daughters, their husbands and two grandchildren. The first evening game drive was spectacular. Dinner was glorious. We wondered why we had been booked for only two nights before we went on to Savute and Shinde and understand that each camp had different terrain, as well as services ands animals. How anyone could be negative, I don't know. And, incidentally, my wife and I lived in South Africa for some months and have credentials to compare.

I spent two nights at Xakanaxa Campsite during a camping trip into the Moremi Game Reserve, Botswana. The campsite is alongside the ‘Road’, each pitch is alongside the river.
It was booked and paid for prior to our arrival, this was done at The National parks and Wildlife Service in Maun. We did not have a booking at this camp site, but it was deserted so we just stayed here! It was not a problem as no body checked on us.
It has 8 pitches, the pitches are small compared with the other campsites in the park. There is no drinking water or electric. Each pitch had a 'fireplace' for your camp fire.
The ablution blocks are new, built with joint funding from the EU. There are solar panels for hot water, but they did not seem to be operating. This was a problem in all the campsites!
This campsite is ideal if you want to get out onto the Delta in a motor boat, you can walk to the Xakanaxa boat station.
The campsite is next to 3 lodges; Camp Okuti, Camp Moremi and Camp Xakanaxa. I don’t know what the guests in the lodges, paying over + - $500.00 pppn, think when they get to the ‘exclusive’ lodge and see a load of happy campers outside there door enjoying their campfires and BBQ!!?
At night an Elephant brushed against our tent, Hippos grazed and we got very little sleep, but loved it all. This is a great campsite and I would recommend it to anyone!
