Camp Moremi did not disappoint. The warm hospitality was consistent throughout my stay. The managers were excellent and I can only recommend that the manager in training use both as role models. For example, I had the wrong time for one of the meals and one of the managers came to my room to remind me that the meal was being served. This was truly beyond what most others would do. The room was well appointed and befit the safari experience. Why would one want it any other way. The game drives were good BUT the cruise on the delta was INCREDIBLE. This was a totally different incredibly beautiful experience and the guide gave it his all during this venture. Take a close look at Camp Moremi!

Dear JMS23
Thank you for the wonderful review. The boat ride on the delta has to be one of my favourite things to do when in camp. Thank you for sharing your stay with us.
Kind regards
The Desert and Delta Safaris Team

We spent two nights at Camp Moremi during our six days in safari camps in Botswana. Our guide Osman, was very knowledgeable and earnest and worked very hard to give us a good experience. As with other Desert and Delta camps, service was excellent and friendly and the food and wine was very good. As there are only 12 "tents" (these are luxury tents with a wooden infrastructure, large bedroom and bathroom), it is very quiet. Our only complaint, very minor, is that the bedrooms could use better light and another chair. On the whole a great place where saw lots of different wildlife, esp elephants and birds.

Room tip: Management assigns chalet.

This was the last stop on our safari tour and it was certainly the most authentic. The tents were well kitted out with a good size room and a well equipped bathroom- they were however unbearably hot. Luckily, in the day you could escape the heat in the very nice swimming pool but the evenings were very hot.
It was great to lie in bed listening to all the animals around you - apparently one of the nights we were there there was a leopard in the camp. Safety is paramount here - they do not allow you to go anywhere in the evening without a guide.
Our guide was Grass - he was very knowledgable and communicative. We didn't have as many animal sightings as in Savute but the drives were much more attractive and relaxing. All the staff were very friendly and couldn't do enough to help. All in all a very enjoyable experience.

Lots of choices in Africa to spend your money, but Camp Moremi is great on many levels. First, you arrive at a nearby airstrip and are picked up and given a bottle of water. At the camp, my wife and I were greeted with a cold towel and warm smiles. The staff is beyond reproach, with not only great service and great food, but a genuine caring that you can't make up. The bungalows are huge and you are truly away from the world. And the guides are excellent, knowledgeable and willing to listen to what you want. We woke up to lions roaring and hippos snorting! If I would go back on safari, I would go to Camp Moremi. I now have friends there.

Room tip: As for a room closest to the clubhouse, as some are far away.

Dear MSM777
Thank you for your recent review on your stay at Camp Moremi. Being away from the world and so close to nature is a great way to experience what Desert and Delta Safaris has to offer. I am glad that you left with a feeling of gaining friends, as this is truly how we hope our guests feel during their stay.

Camp Moremi was exactly what we expected in an African Game Reserve. We stayed in a "tent" that was so much more than a tent - wooden floors, big bedroom, nice bath with great water pressure and the authentic-looking mosquito netting surrounding the bed. Everyone at the camp was so friendly and made us feel so at home. Our drive/guide was KT and he did a great job of tracking and finding the animals. It was amazing how many different environments exist in the Moremi Game Reserve. There was the African Bush, large open desert-like areas, areas with lots of trees, big watering holes and small delta areas. And everywhere there were tracks for the safari jeeps. We were constantly amazed that KT never got lost. Our last night, instead of a game drive, KT took us on a boat into the delta. There was tall pampas grass, beautiful water lilies, other tall grasses, and suddenly, an elephant in the water's edge feeding itself. KT got us within about 3 feet of the elephant who just looked at us and though to ask, "what are you doing in my delta?" We stayed in the delta for a beautiful sunset and were stopped at a spit of land that was the roosting area for hundreds of birds. What a marvelous last evening. Thanks to Albert, Enry, Tandani and all the chefs, servers, and staff. You were amazing.
