Our first visit to Botswana, and our first "Camp." Yes, it was a tent, but it's hard to convince ourselves to call it that. Our guide, Mod, was excellent, and managed to show us an amazing number of creatures in a two-day period. Food was well above average, and the staff singing to us before dinner was very special. We particularly liked the small camp size...only 12 cabins, I think, so it was very nice getting to know some of our fellow travelers.

Room Tip: The cabins are all situated so that you have privacy and not-too-far a walk to the main lodge.

We saw lions, leopards and cheetahs plus a lot of other animals. Our ranger, Lets was great. There are not so many people around (only a few small lodges) so when an interesting animal is spotted you are never surrounded by a large group of cars.

We've just returned from Botswana and another delightful (our 6th) to Camp Moremi. Botswana is one of our favorite destinations...we visit every year. And Camp Moremi is one of our favorite camps. The "rooms" (actually individual little villas) are very comfortable. Even the sheets are smooth and of high thread count. When you leave your room for some activity, you return to find it completely restored and in pristine condition. Mosquito nets are down at night (although we've never seen a mosquito), towels are fresh, ice in a thermos, water, etc., even delicious cookies in the unlikely event that you are hungry! Speaking of food, it is abundant, delicious, well prepared and presented. Unfortunately, I gained five pounds. The grounds at Camp Moremi are lush, green and beautifully maintained. While I know, for a fact, there are other wonderful safari camps in the Delta, it's the charm and warmth of the people of Moremi that draws us back. We've known Setch, the camp manager, since 2002 when he was our guide, and we can't imagine visiting Botswana and not seeing him and all of our other friends at Camp Moremi. The best recommendation I can offer is to say we're planning to go back next year and every year thereafter.

Room Tip: I understand the honeymoon suite has a great view. We like to sit on our veranda in afternoons, bet...

The guides were very good and we lot to see a leopard hunting, cheetahs, lions, etc. the scenery here was the most picturesque of the four locations we visited. Lodge staff delivered great service with the friendly approached that makes Botswana one of the best for customer experience. All staff were a credit to D&D and their country.

We spent several days of our August 2013 honeymoon at Camp Moremi. Having missed a flight in, when we did arrive, the welcome was overwhelming. The friendliness of the staff, wildlife knowledge, the location and serene well arranged grounds, matched the efficiency of the operation. 30 Staff serve a maximum of 24 guests. We made our viewing preferences known immediately, so the drives and commentary did the business. The food was very good, though it couldn't quite match everything else about this place and the staff try so hard to please, criticism by rich westerners seems completely churlish. Few Brits, but people who come to this area seem to share ideas, so we mixed in nicely.
Rooms are large tents on raised decks about 20 metres apart in wooded areas. No heating or AC (why would you?). They include plenty of windows, lobby, loo and shower, all within the mosi protected zone.Nicely furnished in an African minimalist style, with king sized beds, there is an external deck for getting even closer to the animals. .
Location is right on the edge of permanent flowing clean delta water and only a few minutes from the air strip.
The grounds are well landscaped to blend in with the surrounding woodland.
Boma for breakfast and tea; dinner in the main central building with a bit of local entertainment thrown in. Enjoyable.
Separate high deck overlooks the delta and you can see a very long way.
Discreet decent sized swimming pool.
Animals roam through the camp at night, though they try to keep elephants out.
Toyota vehicles in good nick carry 6 people, morning coffee/tea, biscuits and sundowners/nibbles of your choice, all thrown in.
Very different from Chobe with much lower winter elephant and giraffe density but the scenery is more varied and fewer people. Birding fantastic.

Room Tip: All rooms looked similar. The furthest are about 150 metres from the main facilities, but this is no...

We stayed at Moremi for 3 nights. Our guide was Lets, who did a fabulous job. Not only did we see lions and hyenas (and zebras giraffes elephants buffalo and antelope in abundance) but his superb tracking led us to a leopard which literally walked around our car. We expressed interest in finding small animals as well and he delivered abundantly!
Rooms were spacious, food was delicious, and staff were so welcoming! The scenery at this camp was particularly beautiful and varied!
No issues whatsoever - a magical spot!

I had an awesome experience at Camp Moremi. Setch and Lucky were amazing as hosts, as were all of the employees. My game driver was Mod and he was incredibly knowledgeable. He showed us so many animals and birds and gave us detailed and interesting information. And he had a wonderful sense of humor. I also took an afternoon drive with Banda, and that was fantastic too. I was comfortable, saw a variety of wildlife, was well fed, and had 3 hippos sleep right next to my room one night. An incredible experience!
