An exciting boat trip for three hours between Camp Okavango and Camp Moremi, both Delta and Desert camps with a change of drivers half way, as well as morning tea.
Camp is O.K. but tents a little disappointing and separate bathroom tent was annoying especially in the middle of the night. Also, there was one small mosquito net over both beds and this kept falling on you. We had the pleasure of the company of at least two hippos twenty metres away on the edge of the swamp both nights.
Staff again good and the food was O.K.
Our star guide, Lynn, who must know every camp in the Desert and Delta Group intimately, took us to an adult leopard kill in a tree in the morning and then a young leopard on a kill in a tree in the afternoon. These get the camp four stars overall otherwise probably three and a half

Room Tip: Try to get one near the amenities as some tents are a long way from there.

We wish to thank you for this review and for being a valued visitor to Camp Moremi. Our apologies for not responding to your review earlier, however we were awaiting important information with which to support our response. At the time that you were traveling and stayed at Camp Moremi, we were in the process of completing the mandatory renewal process for the lease which allows us to operate Camp Moremi within the Moremi Game Reserve - this process done with the relevant Botswana Government authorities. We are very pleased to inform you that our lease renewal application has been approved and Desert & Delta Safaris has a secure fixed lease to operate Camp Moremi for a set amount of years. This renewal will allow for us to make the necessary investment required to complete a full refurbishment on Camp Moremi. We anticipate that this refurbishment will take place in the early months of 2013. We know that the new upgrade on the rooms and camp in general will certainly add great value for our future travellers and we look forward to the opportunity to welcome you back to Camp Moremi again one day. With warm safari greetings - Management and staff of Camp Moremi.

my wife and me spent 3 nights @ Camp Moremi last June. Great experience, abundant game life and very well prepared guide (Mod). We saw a lion hunting buffalos and wild dogs hunting and then eating an impala! the Camp is pretty basic, but the staff is friendly, the tent clean and the food OK. definitely a very nice place to stay.

We stayed for two nights as the first part of a 6 night safari. The tented rooms were lovely and very comfortable. All staff were excellent and we saw lots of wildlife too. Apart from a lawn the grounds seemed a little barren compared to our subsequent accommodation, but this was just a minor observation rather than a problem. The food, drinks, game drives, and overall service were all first class.

We, and 2 other couples stayed at Camp Moremi in August 2012. We experienced the best service from the staff. They were very friendly, genuinely interested in our experiences and forthcoming with information about the environment of Botswana. The singing and dancing were a delight to experience and the food was delicious. Frank, our game driver, was a wealth of knowledge and went out of his way to ensure we saw as many animals as possible. We loved hearing the hippos at night eating, the glasses of Amarula and the relative isolation of the camp. Thank you to Charity, Arnold, Candi, the bartender and of course Frank. There were numerous other staff who were also helpful and kind but my memory is short. I forgot to mention the homemade bread. We looked forward to it every day. Karyn and Jim

This is another desert&delta lodge, but compared to Savute Safari Camp or Leroo La Tau it´s one step down.
For sure not because of Charity and her awesome (singing) staff, for sure not due to the great guides and game drives (bunch of wild dogs, chettah, 6 lionesses) and for sure not because of the beautiful location. But because of the tents, which definitely need some refurnishing and rebuilding.
Bathroom are housed in a second tent, and specially at night in june it´s freezing if you have to cross an outdoor veranda for getting there.
But maybe renovation of this camp is on the agenda of great desert&delta anyway ........
So all in all this would be a three rating at it´s maximum, but gorgious and grandiose staff make it a four star rating

I visited Camp Moremi in June and had such a wonderful time. The staff here are fantastic and really seemed to know what the animals in the reserve were doing at the moment and where to find them. We saw a wild dog with her puppies which was amazing. Moremi Game Reserve really does offer fantastic game viewing. The tents were fine, do not be concerned about the bathroom being a few steps from your bedroom tent and there was plenty of hot water. In the evenings when it was cool that staff gave us hot water bottles and blankets. I am already saving to get back to Camp Moremi!

Room Tip: If you are nervous about the bush ask for a tent nearer the main building.
