My wife and I arrived by plane and were picked up by the Camp staff. We were greeted with drinks. We were taken to our room and it was wonderful. Right on the Delta . The room was a very good size with all that one would need. Clearly quite luxurious. Since it is all inclusive, were off to the lunge with a wide range of alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages. Meals were great and the safaris are exceptional with very experienced tour drivers. No question we would stay there again.

Room Tip: I think all rooms are great.

Xakanaxa is different from Chobe Game Lodge-more rustic but still great. The land is different-more varied. The trails are rougher too. Our guide and driver,Chemical, did everything possible to give us a comfortable ride and made sure we saw so many animals and birds. He was excellent and couldn't do enough for us. This is a very interesting place. I told the cook she should publish a book of her salads. Every detail was attended to, even our drinks. We enjoyed the motor boat sunset cruise too. Loved it here.

Room Tip: We had tent 8 and it was good- close to dining, etc.

We loved this place. The rooms (tent cabins) were very nice. The common area (dining room, deck, living rooms, and multiple fire pits) were set on the water, and were beautiful. This camp had a rustic feel, but the rooms were extremely nice and the staff pampered us. As there were only 14 tent cabins the number of guests were small. We all ate together and socialized at night, so it was a very friendly and warm environment. The staff (who were all extremely nice and helpful) also ate with us and socialized, which made for a very warm atmosphere. The food was great. The game drives were OK, as we saw more animals in other places that we visited,

We spent three nights at Camp Xakanaxa and felt well cared for and pampered by the staff. Food and drinks were delicious and varied, and the campfire warmed us on the cool evenings. Our tent was right on one of the main channels of the delta, and hippos and lions woke us each morning. We saw more cats than we'd seen anywhere else in southern Africa---many lions, a serval, leopard, genet; along with zebras, elephants, baboons, and lots of antelope, including the red lechwe which only lives in swampy conditions. Thanks, Ben and staff!

Dear nalani50

Many thanks for your great overview of Camp Xakanaxa. It sounds like you had a wonderful time in the camp and very luck to see so many cats. Lions are more easily found but to have spotted the other cats, that was definitely a strike of luck. Our staff in our camps are just fantastic as you have pointed out. They are really amazing at what they do and thoroughly enjoy what they do. Thank you for choosing Desert and Delta Safaris for your safari experience in Botswana. We look forward to welcoming you back.

Kind Regards

Camp Xakanaxa was a truly memorable experience. The game and delta vistas were spectacular and the camp accommodation in luxury two person tents with private en-suite very comfortable.

All the staff were very friendly and our guide, Harrison, who stayed with us for all our activities was very knowledgeable and an excellent tracker.

The food and alcohol was high quality and everything is included which made.for very enjoyable nights sitting around the camp fire. Waking in the morning to see what animals visited in the night reminds you how secure the tents really are!

One tip, same day laundry is included so there is no need to pack a lot of clothes.

Dear Adrian S

Many thanks for your review, it is always such a great pleasure to hear from our guest. Desert and Delta Safaris is glad you stayed with us for your safari in Botswana. Staying at Camp Xakanaxa is truly a wonderful experience. The facilities and rooms are as you have mentioned luxurious and comfortable. I think my favourite memory of Camp Xakanaxa is sitting around the fire pit after dinner and just taking it all in. The moments are so perfect that is feels surreal.
We look forward to welcoming you back in the future and thank you again

Kind Regards
Desert and Delta Safaris Team
