We stayed three nights at this camp and highlights being both a mocoro trip when we saw elephants crossing the creek and also a candle lit dinner by the pool while listening to a lion roar within a few hundred feet. I wont say it was the best camp of the 5 we stayed at, but it was none teh less very enjoyable and well run.

We'd never been to Botswana before and Sango was the first place we stayed at. It was also by far the best place too (even though the other lodge we stayed at in Kasane was lovely it didn't have the intimate, personal feel of Sango). We were hugely impressed with the camp which was beautifully laid out and well looked after, the fantastic staff who welcomed us with songs and were always there to greet us on our return from activities and the delicious food! Everything we could possibly have wanted was catered for and the staff's attention to detail is excellent. Our guide was brilliant and our absolute holiday highlight was finding a leopard killing an impala - something he says he witnesses only once or twice a year! We'd definitely recommend Sango and Botswana as a whole was wonderful.

This was our first stay on our trip to Botswana and it was our favourite of all the lodges. Right from our arrival the staff were so friendly and went out of their way to make sure we had a good time. The food was amazing, the safari was spectacular and the camp itself was beautiful. We would whole-heartedly recommend this place.

Spent three nights in this beautiful tented camp. Staff were wonderful, greeting us with songs and arranging elegant picnic for us in a beautiful water-side location. Food excellent. Tent very comfortable even during an exciting storm. And laundry was done perfectly! Driver/guide succeeded in finding us all our target birds and animals. Was sorry to say goodbye to such lovely people.

Sango exceeded our expectations as our first-ever safari experience. We stayed at three different camps in Botswana and Sango was the most rustic of them all, but it had the best spirit to it; a small camp with tents feels more true to the environment than lodges trying to replicate a 5-star hotel experience. It made us feel closer to nature, especially listening to the hippos and elephants at night!

We came to discover that a lot can be added to your safari experience by the people with which you share your game drives, and we lucked out with some fun people during our stay. We spent hours bouncing through the bush with our guide, DT, and were astonished at the landscape--particularly in the 'rainy' season when everything is green--and the variety of animals. We preferred Sango's location because it allowed for game drives in the Moremi Game Reserve and the Khwai Concession, the latter of which allows for more adventure since you can stay out a little later and go off-road if necessary. Leopards eluded us, but we saw basically everything else that roams the area, including wild dogs. We rarely ran into other vehicles while on a drive (unless they're working together to track down the animals).

Overall, a great little lodge with a great spirit in what I found to be the most beautiful area of the three camps we visited. Two thumbs up!

Room tip: It's unlikely that you would be able to choose a room, but number 4 is right next to the common areas and thus the least private.
