This posada is great, the service, food and essence is magical. Very recomendable to everyone that wants to have a unique vacation in a natural paradise.
The best thing about los Roques is to be dropped completely alone in a dessert island for the whole day. The food prepared everyday tastes excellent.

Good things in life are often made by details. Details can make something truly special or make something truly special...well... not that special....
Posada Malibu is one of those places where you can tell that the owners have made their best effort to render those details with what they have available in this exotic Caribbean location. The island itself is a bit like the rest of Venezuela, the most gorgeous scenery, the friendliest people, but it all depends where you walk in or who you meet. Once you enter the posada you are transported by its architecture and beautiful wood work and white walls and furniture to a house on some Greek island, Mikonos or Crete. There are plenty of details, starting with the open air kitchen that gives you a hint of what is to come for dinner. The rooms are well sized and comfortable, although a bit noisy, you can hear everything going on in the dining room. The food is excellent, both the cold food they prepare to take to the beech as is dinner, the chef is Italian and the food rivals any Michelin Guide appointed restaurant in Italy. Service is excellent, as well as cleanliness. If not for the nosiness, it would be one of those truly special places.
It was the best Italian cuisine that I've ever had! The location is good, the employees are great and the archipelago is wonderful!
We stayed at Posada Malibu for 4 days in May 2011. The archipelago itself is about 40 minutes dreadful flight away from Caracas airport. Make sure you only fly with Aerutuy and NOT with one of those local airliners. I am a hobby pilot myself and I thought I would never see in my life missing screws in a 40 years old plane. Posada itself is run by a Gentleman from Italy, Antonio. This is a family driven hotel with mostly Venezuelean students working seasonly. The rooms are about 25 m2 and the bathroom has open roof (yes you read right), so getting a mosquito repellent is recommended. Overall the price was very good compared to what you get. We went for the all inclusive package, which was not much more expensive than alternatives. You get very good and fresh breakfast, lunchbox for the day and very styilish dinner. This property is highly recommended !
Excellent posada with outstanding food and service. Very relaxed and luxury atmosphere, the posada is decorated with natural elements without loosing comfort. Many thanks to the staff of Posada Malibu for taking such good care of us and making it one of our best vacations ever.
