friendly people, comfortable beds, incredible views, terrific lake access to crystal waters- there is nothign "fancy" here but every need is met and the most peaceful beautiful surroundings- we have tried other places on beaver lake that were more expensive and higher end furnishings- this is the place to which we will return

very clean room, huge boat dock for bigger boats also . jody and his staff were very professional. we could not see the lake from the entire lodge when you pay $150 a night it would be nice to see the lake. the last mile of the road to the lodge was POWDER dirt road that the boat almost dissappeared from view at a very slow speed, then to get to the boat ramp it was back out the same powder road then on to another 2 mile powder road then you had to pull a wet boat trailer back down the same roads my red trailer was complety white. we finally got the boat cleaned up in the lake water. the lake is absolutely beautiful. then when its time to go you have to deal with it all again .other than the messy truck and trailer and boat it was great . we will probably go to a different resort next time

We took this trip on the spur of the moment. Of course the weather was hot. What would you expect for August in Arkansas. The setting was beautiful. The accommodations were comfortable, clean and just what you would expect for accommodations in the woods. We rented a pontoon from the resort and toured beautiful Beaver lake. If you are looking for a quiet getaway, this is the place. The folks who own the resort are the nicest people you will ever meet and if you are lucky, the manager Jody Simrell may even sing and play the piano for you at dinner time.

we stayed at ventris trails end resort for our honey moon and it was the most romantic time. we sat on the wrap-a-round pourch having some iced tea about sun set and watching all the wild life walking in the distance around us,such as deer and squirrel running and playing, and the same way early in the morning. we then went to the restaurant and had the best home cooking that a person could ever find. not to mention that this was the cleanest place we have seen. we also had a great time with the camp fire while jody played his guitar to some old time fav's.
we also watched the sun coming up early one morning as we were on th docks and it was so awesome, as we drink our coffee.we will always go to this finest place a person could stay at. we were very pleased. VERY RELAXING!!!!!!

Ventris was truly a home away from home. The mornings were greeted sitting on the porch swing, coffee cup in hand. The afternoons were spent fishing on the lake, and the evening meals cooked to perfection on the grill.
The cabin was nice and clean! There were an abundance of towels. The kitchen was fully stocked with dishes, utensils, pots and pans, coffee maker, a four slice toaster, a full size frig, stove, and dishwasher-making all the meals a joy to cook. The living room with the stone fireplace, couch, coffee table, and rocking recliner were as welcoming as coming home to your very own cabin on the lake.
So what made this resort stand out from the others in the area? The management. He truly enjoys providing a beautiful place so that we can get away from our daily work and have a place to renew the mind and spirit.
Oh and about Flash-he's the Bassett hound-a mascot if you will. Each morning as the squirrels were rustling the leaves, Flash would come around the corner to check on things. If you tell him to say "momma" ,he will!
Will I make a return trip to Ventris? Absolutely. The whole experience was truly a blessing.

We spent Sept 4-7, 2004 at this resort and thought it was wonderful. It was the second time for us. The first time was an upper/lower shared cabin that was a little closer to the water with one bedroom and a jacuzzi. This time we stayed in a 2 bedroom cabin at the end that stood alone and was more private. Both cabins were nice, clean, cedar smelling and like new. The two bedrooms had queen beds and there was a sofa bed in the living room. It had a gas grill, dishwasher, dishwasher detergent, dish cloths and towels with dishwashing liquid. There was a can opener, trash can and bags, paper towels, salt and pepper, coffee cups, plates, glasses, utensils, pots and pans along with a gas stove, refrigerator, coffee maker and microwave. There were ice cube trays and he also sells bags of ice as well as worms for bait. Also a laundry building with a pop machine and a machine with some snacks and laudry detergent. There was also a radio/stereo for cassettes and a portable CD player. The television only gets 3/4 channels but we rarely watched it anyway. There was a DVD/video player and I think he had DVDs or videos for viewing but we didn't want to stay indoors. The front porch had a swing and table with 4 chairs and was so quiet. Shade trees are everywhere. He has his own boats and we rented a pontoon with an anchor and life jackets and didn't have to go to the marina--very convenient although he did have to repair the deck trim where the ladder attached when we came back for lunch. The radio on the boat wasn't the best but we could do without it. We spent Sat, Sun and Mon nights and on Sun and Mon mornings there was even a newspaper waiting for us at the end of the steps. It was close enough to walk down to the docks and fish or swim. If you have a lot to carry and/or an ice chest, it is easier to drive it down. There is a playground area for children. We saw deer two mornings outside the cabin windows. There was a campfire area in front of our cabin as well as the one beside ours with some chairs around it and picnic tables and horseshoes. There was a fireplace but didn't need it as it was not cold and the cabin has central heating and air. There was a nice clean new looking bathroom with tub and glass shower doors. He had small bars of soap and TP; you need shampoo. We took all our own food and drink so we never had to leave since we weren't able to stay long enough to want to do a lot of driving around looking for restaurants and groceries. We weren't lacking anything but if you do forget something, he did have a few items for sale at the office so he may be able to supply you. Everything is right here and it is a great place to stay.
